I am so tempted - I got really tempted by the super glue my dad was using to fix some of the broken toys today too - then thought better of it.:rotfl::rotfl: My dad has now offered bribery in the form of the final robot in his collection (Asd* sell four that make a set - he now has three) if he can leave it alone until Tuesday. I am looking at other ways of keeping his fingers off it several come to mind, handcuffs, plastering his leg, plastering his hands and drugging him for three days!! :rotfl: None of which I am guessing the NHS will be willing to consider.
Its now odds on he will have a scar - but as DD17 says thats going to just make him more attractive to women!! :rotfl:

I had a call from the local carers association the other day, they have sent me loads of info and booked me in for a manicure this week - and I can go regularly apparently (assuming I havent bitten all my nails off with DS leg saga:eek:). They are going to organise a carers assessment too. The lady was lovely and full of offers for help - she was stunned that I had managed to get DS DLA sorted at correct levels without help. So for anyone who is a carer I can definitely recommend registering.

Don't post for days and now rambled on, with me its either feast or famine:)

Happy Mothers Day everyone as I think just about everyone here has some kind of child be it two legged or four. For the first time in many years I got woken with Happy Mothers day and a cup of tea, a beautiful grandma plaque and a purple top I had admired while we were out yesterday ( she had gone off with granddad and I guessed might be my present) we spent 4 hrs out shopping yesterday, boy can that girl shop takes after her mother, just as well I took my pain meds with me was throwing them down like smarties, ( it meant for second night we had pizza for dinner as Friday night we did it as treat for granddaughter but last night no way could I cook, ah well its only money - actually I am very proud, its only thanks to being on here I could do it, previous and on more income no way could I have budgeted for one take away pizza never mind two, but have money over every week now, some times only 50p but adds up and sticking to my budget and we eat I think better than previously with being very lucky with whoopsies as at last getting hubby to take me up around 3.30 pm to MR S at least once a week, ok only paying what would have paid normally a few months ago but ensures we are eating decent meat, chicken and fish and freezer nearly always full, granddaughter came Friday to stay Friday, supposed to go home last night but said she wanted to be here this morning to see me, so gone home now, her mum picked her up at 7.30am, as she had drama school all day, and daughter gave me her present a lilac pure silk pashmina - I adore these and have a few, but never can have to many some in beautiful wool and a wind chime she had picked up on holiday at half term for me - getting a collection of them as she has bought me a few so garden plays its own music when its windy, so feeling quite good mentally if physically I am a bit behind, but its funny how feeling loved by my family makes me feel better not just mentally but physically, pain just doesn't seem quite as bad, nor stiffness - as Granddaughter not stayed here or even seen her since before Christmas, and Friday would have been my younger daughters birthday so her choosing to stay then really was a pick up and son popped in with his two and brought me a bunch of flowers to say well done for stopping smoking - so think the 16th March this year is first time in 30 years I have feel it was a good day. Son said they would be here today so looking forward to that - don't see any grandchildren for months then twice over one weekend, hope not as long again, although when said to son I wish I could see them more got usual stock answer 'well you know where we live' just cannot get them to realise that going to theirs just to much - by time i get ready, then travel there, be with kids then travel back, might not be much to most people but to much usually for me where as if they come here can rest till they come and rest again after they go also house is organised to help me using least energy. Oh well shouldn't complain at least am seeing them.

Right waiting for pain meds to kick in fully, almost have as took them at 6.30am when granddaughter woke me up, and hopefully will plant out the flowering plants I bought yesterday - seems funny not buying anything to do with vegetables to grow, but they are already bought and paid for and will be sent when time to put in ground - so this year can actually get my flowering type plants handy which means don't just have to buy bedding plants but root plants - bought some roses and some climbers - all will go in pots as back garden still not cleared fully from last years pots, hoping to get hubby into garden later to help me as first Sunday he is home since last August. Sun is cracking the flags as they say, and not to cold

Have a wonderful day, I am sitting here in bed almost smothered by my 3 furbabies, its as if they know its Mothers Day and want to give me extra hugs

Hugs and Love to all xxx

prepareathome You need a poem to send with a card telling them how it is for you. I have forgotten who writes them, scarlet I think, where are you? Nothing gets to people like a poem or a song.

Argh, do you ever get the feeling that "she who expects little gets nothing?" I let OH have a lie in this morning, well deserved. He comes downstairs, plonks himself in front of the football and sits staring at it for ages. I never expect a present, or even a card but a simple "happy mother's day" would be great. After DS1 wished me a happy mothers day, I asked OH if he had anything he had to say to me and he said (verbatim) "why? You're not my mother". Charming eh! Seems he is reverting back to surly teenager mode, it's not like him. He's taken the kids out for a bit, think he's sensing the tone for a change.

So happy mother's day/mothering sunday to everyone!

Kitcat:- My DH says super glue was originally invented for wounds! Since he has a coal-pit of [STRIKE]useless[/STRIKE] well needed information he is probably right! :D
I have parked myself for the afternoon under my snuggie with a big bar of chocolate. The family is all gone, and I have been spoilt as usual. DH will fetch a takeaway later and play wine waiter. ( A man does have his uses!!) Im not moving! :rotfl:

    Happy Mother's Day everyone :D

So far today I've been given 2 cards, been told after I'd been awake for 5 hours that my present is The Pioneer Woman's cookbook and they were late ordering it, and DS1 has let me give him a hug  wonders will never cease lol

DH made me laugh hysterically earlier. He said to the monsters "Between us we are going to make Mom lunch" making it sound like it would a meal that would make Heson swoon.

Guess what culinary masterpiece they came up with.........

A fish finger sandwich and a mug of tea :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I did look at the T*sco Mothers day meal deal yesterday, but didn't fancy any of it. So I'm cooking myself a roast chicken dinner using the recipe of the week ingredients. For £5 I got a medium chicken, a bag of onions, parsley, unwaxed lemons and 1.5kg of finest potatoes...total saving compared to buying them separately was £5.29.

I'm now watching what I want to TV and looking forward to dinner.

    Take care xxxx
