It's very quiet on here. Where is everyone.

I got a turkey drumstick from Mr A and cooked it in the slow cooker. The meat all fell off and I managed to get five portions with plenty of veg. It only cost £1.79.

I knew someone who had the bailiffs round because the previous occupant was still applying for loans giving her old address.

I was wondering that too, Esther. Perhaps there's something good on the telly.

I am aching all over. Two hours of digging on my allotment and battling with the nettle patch and there are bits aching that I didn't even know I had! If you hear any creaking in the morning - it'll be me trying to get out of bed. :rotfl:

Oooh, that doesn't sound good. But think of all the benefits SMILEY, all that fresh air, exercise and lovely homegrown veg later on in the year.

    Hi guys.

I've been booked to look after some bunnies!

I'm feeling blah still, planned to go out today but got caught up in phone calls, made and received. DD's other SW was really nice today; she spent some time with DD and told me what a truly lovely daughter I had. Kind of makes all the hard work worth while. Still waiting on "stuff" of course, but I was kept in the loop which helps.

Does anyone else fill out surveys? Aren't they numbingly boring at times?! A few I really enjoy.

Sorry I'm not so chatty; just wish this would pass sooner rather than later!

I didn't know you could open mail. I usually send anything back marked no longer at this address.

No, nothing good on the telly!

I do...or rather did, used to do more before I moved here. I mainly stick with the Shop and Scan bar code scanning one these days. I scan my food shopping for them - God know what they make of my somewhat eccentric buying habits - but it gives me about a tenner's worth of Amazon vouchers every six weeks. Handy for my book vice. I am so used to doing it, it's automatic now really...

It is quiet here today isn't it today?

I got a letter back from my friend's GP thanking me for my letter and saying he'd noted my points. Wasn't expecting him to respond really, but feel I've done my duty. Haven't heard from her again this week, trying to summon up the mental wherewithall to call her, but failing at the mo. I don't really want to give her the excuse/allow her to find me another thing to do for her. Maybe I'll just be cowardly and text her...

Asked about further subsidising classes for those in receipt of benefits past 'the boss' and got the A OK which I am massively pleased about. Also had a couple of other suggestions for her that she was really excited about, obviously on a roll this week. That makes a change!!!

Hi BYATT, sorry you are still feeling blah but glad your DD's SW was nice. At least that is good news for today. I signed up to do surveys at the beginning of last year but usually get screened out and soon lost the will. I did get a couple of Amazon vouchers - £15 each which I was really pleased about. I saved them for Christmas which was the reason I started in the first place. I have gone back to doing a few but it is boring and time consuming for very little reward.

Esther, I get screened out of loads, and I am a member of quite a few. I go through phases of not bothering, but it's nice to get the odd amount now and then. I have been getting £10 Mr T's gift cards from one, every 6 weeks or so. One of them only pays out when you get to £50, and I have £37.50 to go this time! Probably will take all year. I find the surveys are often longer than they say they are. I like the government ones though!

Katie, I was sent a shop and scan thingy last year but could not set it up on my laptop and because it was such a faff, I sent it back. Silly of me really. Texting your friend sounds a good idea. I'm so glad all your suggestions at work are taking off. It sounds really exciting and rewarding.

I treated myself to a quilted jacket from the H$M sale, £26 down from £89 with great reviews. Anyway, it arrived today, and I look like a cross between M!chelin Man and Bianca from Ea$tEnders. :rotfl:Long red hair flowing! Reminds me a bit of the shell suits that were trendy once upon a time. However, it is *toasty warm* and I can now wash my "only other jacket. (which is not warm)

I have to say there have been some really great sales on H$M and Laredou£e. Wouldn't normally look if it wasn't for the bargain forum.

Anyone who lives in a metropolis should try and get on the panel of a company that runs focus groups though. You'll probably only get through a couple a year if you are lucky, but the ones in London that I did were good fun. We got nice sarnies and nibbles, and got to inspect ideas for stuff like dog food packaging and hair dyes to name but two, and you got paid about £60 for two hours work! I can't remember what they were called though....Saros research I think it was!

I've done a couple of things with Saros. They pay well and they're usually interesting, but I often don't meet the criteria. Worth signing up for though.

Byatt, it's nice to see you, keep posting. I hope your mood lifts soon xx

Off to make a cup of tea and wiggle my hips before they seize up, oh woe is me :rotfl:but yes, I must focus on the homegrown veg I will have as a result of the digging ......

You have just motivated me to go and look at my onepoll account which I haven't logged onto for weeks. I have done two surveys for a total of 25p. Not a fortune but a little more on the way to the £40 I need to earn for payout. I now have £19.55 on there. I started last year but gave up and then went back and did a few nearer to Christmas. I just need to keep checking it each day or the ones I have done will be a waste of time as I won't get to that £40.
