Mardatha I can see the Channel from down the road I'm that far south - I think the Sun must have had a slow news day 'cos last time we had heavy snow the only way it got cleared was by the local farmers - I saw more local tractors out to clear the A & B roads than there were Snowploughs on the A3M to London! Don't believe all you read in the paper.............lol

Bruno is home, with a blue bandage around his leg, stitches in his tummy and some on his back. The vet removed three lumps and two of them have gone off to a lab for analysis (the third was a large fatty lump), so I won't know the results until next Tuesday or Wednesday. Poor Bruno, he wouldn't settle when he got home and kept following me around; I think he was scared I might suddenly disappear and leave him again. In the end I had to get a magazine and sit down just so that he would settle, bless him. He's now curled up fast asleep. He doesn't know yet that he will have to wear a buster collar overnight and tomorrow when I go to work :( poor lad. His blood tests came back normal, though, which is good as it means he doesn't have any kidney or liver problems. It's just a waiting game now for the lab results. But I am very, very glad to have him home. We are having an early night tonight because I feel absolutely shattered.

Speaking of the smallest room .... I'm going to attempt to get up there without waking Bruno, as he will want to follow me to make sure I'm not going to escape out of the window .......

So glad Bruno is home safe and sound with you now. It always makes me cry when our pets are just so grateful to see us again after their traumatic experience. Hope you both sleep well tonight. Big hugs!

    xx

Rug update - it's back down and no sign yet of the stain!

    Shame....:rotfl:
  • Smiley am glad Bruno is home, try not to worry to much about the results, but we love them so much. I am sitting on my bed shoved at one side as my three are all stretched out over rest of it, but all touching me at some part of my body.

I feel proud of myself as went shopping earlier and didn't even think about buying any cigarettes so that is 6 days now I have not smoked, not a lot of time really but long for me, but so far not missing them. Ok not doing cold turkey, using e-cigarette but finding they are actually more enjoyable that cigarettes now and I will worry about stopping them sometime in the future when I know I would not go back to cigarettes.

Everything taking an age to type as managed to slice open top of left index finger and I use both hands to type usually.

First time I have been shopping in a couple of weeks and I know many here had said about price increases but was really shocked to see it for myself, not one thing I wanted was the price it had been 2 weeks ago, it really is scary how much things are jumping in price.

Freezing out there so glad home again

    Stay warm

smiley, so glad Bruno is okish. My Bess took a good 48 hours to be her normal self again. She was quite wobbly and found it difficult to settle unless I or my DD was there. Hope you both sleep well. xxx

    Good for you! :T

One thing I found helped when I gave up was buying a little treat with some of the money I'd saved. For about three months I bought a little treat each week and justified it as being a drop in the ocean compared to what I'd been spending on ciggies. Maybe it doesn't sound moneysaving but it helped to concentrate the mind.

(((hug))) So glad he is back with you. He will want to be close with you and comforted for a little while. They love us almost as much as we love them don't they? Try not to worry too much about what it is. When my cat's results came back as benign I was devastated. We opted against treatment as the vet felt it would not succeed and would distress him. But that was nearly 2 years ago and although he's had a few bad spells he's got plenty of life in him still. Most importantly, he's happy. So even if the news is bad, it might not be as black as it seems. I do hope he's okay for you though (((hug)))

Does anyone else think football (and life!) would be a lot more interesting if there were more streakers and nutcases?

Try juggling conventions! I went to a lot in my teens and it was rather the thing there, in fact I even recall a streaking workshop at one (not that I went of course:D)

Not a streaker but at the Everton/Mamchester City match tonight someone handcuffed himself to the goalposts :rotfl:Some sort of protest about airline wages I think.

This isn't my forum but have been looking through this one and others and just had to comment on yours. A benign result is good news not bad, I think you may have got the meaning of benign and malignant mixed up. Benign means harmless, malignant is the result to fear. Sorry for poking my nose in but I hope it means you will not be so worried now. XX

Prepareathome - Well done on going six days without a ciggie, Willpower is something I don't have, am in awe of you. :j

Smiley - Glad that Bruno is back and is ok. You reminded me of our old dog when she was poorly and I found myself in tears! They really do attach them selves to your heart don't they? :)

It's cold here and the odd snow flurry keep threatening but to be honest it's not too bad. Heating is on but not at the levels of last year so I'm not freaking about the bill yet. ( May change my tune when it comes in early Feb!)

I am trying to find out about this Free Solar Panel Scheme. Does anyone know anything about it? I like to get a bit of advice and info before I get in touch with companies.
I like to, A, Sound as tho I know what I am doing! and B, Understand what they are on about when they start talking about kws and therms and mathematical stuff.
Honestly, I regress to my 13 year old self unable to do long division and giving up on maths forever! My brain just switches off so I need at bit of pre-knowledge just to prevent brain clog!
All I know about it is that they pay for them and maintain them. House holder can get free electricity during day then they sell the rest of the generated electricity to the National Grid. It's the ins and outs of the kws that I am worrying about!
Am off now to get ready to sort the Grandkids for school. Looks like I'm going to have to defrost the car!:snow_laug
