  • I have been cutting hubby's hairs for years - using a hair trimmer, must be about 10 years now, as he loathes going to barbers. I have not been to hair dressers for years, about 2 years ago I got fed up with my long hair so put on biggest head on hair trimmer and cut it all off, after hacking it with scissors. I have grown it since and almost down to my waist now, it grows so quickly and is so thick. I keep the ends straight by cutting them every few months when its soaking wet - only time its straight:)

Well up at a silly hour again, just can not seem to sleep through the night anymore.
So I am sitting here reading with a nice cup of hot tea and as I found some wool I had forgotten I had yesterday and have started to knit a scarf.
So at least I am doing something if I cant sleep.:D

If anyone has a pile of whoopsied mushrooms to use up, I can thoroughly recommend Weezl's mushroom soup. We had it last night. It's really filling and tasty, and best of all really simple to make.
    The recipe is here http://www.cheap-family-recipes.org.uk/recipe-mushroomsoup.html?opt=rall

I didn't have any cream, so just added milk instead. Delicious.

I bet life must be getting tougher for hairdressers ...they still have to find the rent and heating for the salons but less people will be going.

Brilliant! Thanks for the inspiration. I don't have any mushrooms, but I do have a large cauli that is destined for the soup-pot this evening, so I think I'll try using her recipe with cauli instead.

And if you haven't already tried it: Weezl's humous is fantastic!!!

    Morning all!

Thanks for the recipe. I do have mushrooms that I was just going to freeze but i'll do this instead.
Could I use creme fraiche instead of cream?
