Hi smiley, people are missing you all over the internet!
We were so sick and tired of wind that we went out. The RV bought a new helmet and then let me loose in Lidl. Back home now knackered. But happy.

WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME THERE WAS A TOUGHER THREAD AGAIN????:p:p:p

    Humph.

    Double humph.

Have I missed anything exciting? I can't possibly go back through the thousands or posts that are on here!

And most importantly - does GreyQueen still have a stash of tinned tomatoes under her bed? I'm all agog to know!

Catch you all later - I've been on the computer all day so far so I need to give myself a break. Take care xxx

Hi Smileyt, How are you its been awhile.:)

Slip the skins off, cut them up into little meatballs and cook with onions then stir in a tin of chopped tomatoes and a splash of cider to make a sauce and serve with pasta. I use penne and put the lot in a baking dish, tuck in left over broccoli florets cover the lot with a cheese sauce and bake like a lasagne. Nomnomnom
Yum Yum DD and Me would love this idea :j but i would have to think of something else sausage wise for him , as he doesn't do pasta, and can sometimes be iffy with cheese sauce or any pale coloured sauces :( talk about being blasted akward, you would think after being married 31yrs, i could have persauded him into eating pasta.

    I
Sausages for Tea but not sure with what yet anyone got any suggestions :idea:different to the usual mash and beans/Mash/veg and onion gravy.

When I lived in Japan my local 'pub' used to do something called 'jaga' potates which I presume was a German dish. Basically sliced sausages fried up quickly and then add sliced potatoes with seasoning, a bit of chilli and whatever else you want. I add sliced leeks or really anything else I've got - onions, sweetcorn, it's all nice. I use a good non-stick wok which doesn't need much oil so it's not that unhealthy.

Smiley !!!!!! wondered where you had gone, thought you had upped sticks and moved to a more genteel thead :rotfl:. Good to see you back!

Damn windy here still, went up into the garden to sort some logs and it was a bit hairy up the side of the hill in a force 9! Poor birdies been blowd in all directions. No hope of cat going out he is a total wuss puss.

Decs down this morning and it looks very bare now :(

Gailey - if you want to go for the job, do it, men are no good at dealing with change!

Arty - Don't worry about following recipes - just use what you
have got and your imagination! Any sort of meat sauce mixed with pasta/cheese/white sauce would be yummy! I make up my meat/pasta sauce every time I make it - never the same!

Off up to coop in a mo on a whoopsie hunt - I still want cream to make butter!

Worst would be the texture going a bit funny, but I don't see why pate would not freeze ok.
