Enjoy the rest of your day and the rest of the long weekend.

Merry Christmas everyone, computer has been playing up and only just got online.
taurus I hope you are ok and not in hospital but if you are I hope that you have had a day filled with visitors.
Table held together fine, although my nerves are shot!!
Had terrible shock this morning, my friend has been quiet for last few days I assumed busy with Christmas prep, turns out her mum died two days ago - it was totally out of the blue and I had only spoke to her a few days ago. She wasnt able to talk about it today so am going to call in on Tues with some flowers - and I have told her to call me if she needs anything or even just wants to talk. Doesnt feel much but I know she isnt ready to talk yet.
Kids love their presents and the littlies love the little house - unfortunately they seem to think we will build it tonight for them which obviously isnt possible. Dad is off to look at work diary and try to set a date when he and OH are both off so that they can make a date the kids can count to.0 -
Our first Christmas in ages on our own. DS1 in Liverpool had a better offer, so we didn't visit him, DS2 has just been to visit with partner and 5 month old daughter. They wanted a quiet family Christmas at home, just the three of them. So I had to remember how to cook a Christmas dinner! We had rib of beef, mashed and roast spuds, roast parsnips and sprouts/broccoli, followed by Christmas pud with shedloads of custard. With wine, of course. It's like the last supper for DH, he has to go to the hospital for tests next week (IBS or Diverticulitis they think) so has to be on a low fibre diet for the next few days....Wednesday is starvation day before examination. He's fretting about it already, he does like his grub!
Hope all went well for the toughies, and hope Taurus managed to enjoy the day.
Might have an early night tonight.Normal people worry me.0 -

One of our freinds gave birth last night and home in time for xmas dinner.
Had a great day so full!
Kids loved their pressies.
Eldest was one short as brought faulty computer off ebay now fighting for money back:mad:.
But the kids had loads and some pressies still in wales so totally spoilt.
Had embarressing incident at xmas eve church service yesterday they reenacted the nativity story..
My 5year old and her freind played angels.
My 2year old kidnapped baby jesus doll out crib and wouldent give back during the nativity and ran to back of church screaming refusing to give back:o
The wise men came to visit baby jesus, mary bit stressed.
quick thinking put my 8month old son in dolly crib he only just fitted.
He was smiling stole the show everyone thourght it was funny!:rotfl:
5mins later hubby prised dolly jesus back and took her out missing candles end of nativity and carols.
She really is very mischevious and tiring right now.
Hubby keeps saying just a phase.
glad started wrapping pressies throughout the week.
got last min stocking fillers yesterday
got some bargains and treats in co-op yesterday in final dash.
We had pheasent, chicken and duck today total cost all 3 £18:D
Estimate total cost of dinner for 2adults 2kids including drinks/dessert was no more than £40 but we had plenty left so would have fed 8 .
So superscrimpers £50 does seem tad high.
Really liked pheasent never tried before was £4.99 bargain at lidls!
hubby made homemade cranberry sauce from reduced cranberries in freezer brought last xmas.
Dad likes his hamper.:)
Hubby liked homemade fimo keyring with kids fingerprints on and cheap chocs and felt guilty he dident get me anything i said dont be daft love spending time, he cooked and helped with errands and shopping.
