No it's the Walters in St Dogs. He's a fisherman, they do crab and lobster as well as a bit of fish. They are at the Local Producers markets in St Dogs on Tues, and Cardi on Thurs mornings. Not so far for you to go
never seen they had scallops before, but I don't go to the markets regularly. Cardi market also has the Teifi Cheese man - simply the BEST cheese in the entire world. Love the Teifi with Nettles....nom nom

Is Cardi market Thursday, or was this a pre-xmas one? We might take a run up in the New Year. And yes the Teifi cheese is lovely. I also love Perl Las, the blue cheese from Caws Cenarth.
Doh! should read properly - of course it's Thursdays, you said so!!!Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0 -
Happy Christmas to all, off to the wilds of West Cork to-morrow to spend Christmas with DD1, DS1, DDIL and DGD2, so may not get back on before we come home.
Happy birthday for to-morrow Mardatha, it is DD1's birthday too and DD2 had hers to-day...have always made sure that they had separate presents although many others just thought of the one.

Yeah ThursdaysDon't know if it's shutting for a bit after Xmas? The St Dogs one is starting again 17th Jan IIRC (that's Tuesday mornings) There is also a market in Newport on Mondays...I know the people I know who sell the Caws Cenarth are there...but not sure if the Walters go there too...I'll ask next time I see her!
I got the Caws cenarth with Leeks and white wine (my favorite) and a cranberry one, a small perl las, a small perl wen for my christmas cheese board...also a golden cenarth for the Wed after xmas when I'm having two female guests who 'do' baked cheese for dinner - none of my lot can/will eat it! Have you tried that baked...it's LUSH (as they say around here!)0 -
Yes, with the trad French camembert though, not with their equivalent. It's very rich and morish, terrible for the waistline!
We used to buy cheese from Patrice from Teifi Farmhouse Cheese in Carmarthen market, she had a great stall. Not been for a long time, I wonder if it is still there?Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0 -
Yes it IS still there, as I bought some on Tuesday when we were in Carmarthen - Nom Nom! One of the Dutch cheesemaker guys was manning it. He's such a lovely chap!

Having caught up with the posts on here I now have a pudding to sort for tomorrow as I had totally forgot about that, so thanks for the reminder lol. Happy Birthday Mardatha. hope you have a lovely day
I feel super organised today. It's down to my listI have family coming this afternoon for a Christmas Movie afternoon and nibbles. A good way of keeping my ever increasingly noisey children occupied - but not for my nice clean and tidy house. The emphasis on movie no doubt shifting to bring toy after toy down stairs.
This is it peeps, Christmas spirit all the way, although last night I felt so down and not chrismassy at all. I have awoke to the giddy smiles of the little ones so how can I be down with that.
Have a lovely Christmas Eve Eve0
