If everyone mentions Techno Bay in their posts, then the Google bots will index all the instances, anyone then wanting to check via Google before purchasing *should* end up on this thread. :D

I see we are already the top result if you google Technobay! :D
  • First of all the contact address is in the us then when you try to buy the give some forign address and on the bottom of the web page it has the visa MasterCard and America express logo then when you try to buy it asks for the pay safe card pin. I didn't think that this sounded quite right so I contacted pay safe. They informed me that techno bay is not a registered provider. I sent techno bay a email asking them why they were not registered or if they would consider setting up a pay pal and big surprise no answer. Every sign points SCAM!
  • Sorry. I can't post a link because I'm a newbie.

    Google "techno bay scambook"

    Regards,

    Dan
  • Dear all,

I have just read all your posts and per what you are saying, Techno-Bay seems a ripoff.
What would it happen if we get a bank account number from them? Could we report this to the authorities and catch them in case they run away with the monies? As far as I know, everyone who opens a bank account has to be identified so if it is a ripoff and they run away with the monies, we can go behind and jail them.
What do you think? I want to buy sth and want to make sure that it is secure.
    Thanks a lot!

No you don't, if you do you can kiss bye-bye to your well earned cash.

The payment methods they are asking for are unsecure, you send your money and you won't get it back.

Surprised that their website is still up and running, no one contacted trading standards?
  • I understand that maybe I do not see my money back but, what would it happen if we get that bank account details and catch the owner of it?

Have you ever tried to do that?

I have, knowing a scammer's account details, full name and address. It was a costly waste of time, and I never got any money back - in fact I put more money into trying than I lost in the first place.

Problem is that the domain is registered in the US, and the website is also hosted in the US (in a different state). Trading Standards will probably say it's outside their jurisdiction.
