Hello all, just need a bit of advice! I've been looking to buy a mobile phone for my son and came across this website http://www.techno-bay.com/index.php/ all of the phones seem too good to be true as they're very cheap, which makes me a little nervous to buy. Has anybody had any experience with this website or know if I can trust it?! Many thanx in advance for any help

For a company whose website bangs-on about "build loyalty and build long-standing business relationship" and being "one of the nation's leading retailers of home appliances and consumer electronics."
It does seem suspicious that they only registered their domain two months ago?
They also mention doing "drop-shipping" Which on its own should be enough to give you the screaming ab-dabs. Avoid!0 -
Thank you very much for your time
One to avoid then, had a feeling it was too good to be true lol x

Hello,
Yeah definitely avoid this website. A lot of these kinds of sites appear around Christmas time. Best idea is to find a good contact source for whoever you're going to buy anything off. They should have a phone number, postal address and e-mail address you can contact.
Also, a good way of checking these kinds of sites. Type the name of the website and then "scam" in to google. There are usually links that come back which people have reported.
Hope this helps0 -
Yes, if you look at their 'testimonials' (all 5 stars) and do some maths they have been around since 2001 - pull the other one0

Give her a call...I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.0 -
Techno-bay.com is the best place to get electronics. I shop there all the time and I get great deals. You should try them out this holiday season!
yeah.. no... seriously... I wondered the same thing... called their contact number from the website and got a voicemail in an accented voice that said "The person you are trying to reach is not available. Leave a message at the beep."
I love that in the check out process, there is no option to pay by credit card... someone will call you to get your bank information.0 -

I was thinking about ordering from them, but when I checked the USA address listed on their website (in Oklahoma), I found out the US Postal Service does not have that address. You can verify this in their Zip Code Search. It looks like a scam to me!0
