House prices to soar by 15%

http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/285847

The price of the average three-bedroom semi will go up by more than £25,000 by 2016

Part of the great story in the Express today.

Really makes sense and puts the bears latest ' It's here' crash talk to the sword.

Could I please ask people like Geneer who have no means to buy. Can you refrain from posting any comments?

What you think or want is irrelevant.
I feel sorry for you but you are not in the game. You are wasting forum space by commenting.

Why don't you join a Ferrari club forum and harp on about if prices drop 80% you will buy one?

Stop wasting your time and ours.

House prices are stable and going to rise. Read the story. Think about it. It's FACT.

The good thing about Express headlines is they reach a hell of a lot of people.
Disenchanted renters and the fools who sold to rent in the hope of a crash in house prices spend hours typing out scare stories on newspaper and internet housing forums. I expect they manage to worry a few people then BANG along comes the Express.

All the home owners see the headlines in the garage forecourt or shopping center and fell great again. If they were even considering knocking a few grand off the asking price that will be forgotten.

We need the average asking price to rise over 175 grand on all the index's. That figure looks on the low side.
Before I worried about people getting on the ladder. Now they have shown their true colors I say let them have it.
Let's hope that figure makes 200k.

A generation of renters would suit my purposes fine.

Express bang on the money yet again. Tomorrow I'll buy 2 copies of the paper to help sales, just to spite the HPC filth.

I live in a lovely village just outside of Maidstone. It's called Loose Valley.

Would you like to check on property prices in my area before making any more stupid comments? :rotfl:

There are better deals out there for toilet paper.

Tesco's have got the 12 rolls for the price of 9 and it is much softer on your ar*e.

    Here we go again.

15% rise in five years is not what I would call 'soaring'. It's 2.5% per annum or, in other words, significantly less the the expected rise in inflation.

Ipso facto, house prices are going to fall in real terms.

So could you explain, Sibley, why this is such good news?

Sibley has a point, The Express does reach a lot of people, whether you buy it or not, it's on display. It's tough out, forget low IR's, it's a hell of a lot harder and much more expensive to buy now than it was 10, 20, 30 years ago.

What's kinda always grated me on this forum is if the people like Sibley, Hamish etc were wanting to buy their first property they would be arguing for lower prices, so their arguments stink of selfishness

On the other hand there are people like myself who own outright who can see the damage that has been done by high property prices, especially here in the UK. Trillions of pounds have been lent against unproductive assets and the damage done by this kind pyramid scheme is clear to see
Have owned outright since Sept 2009, however I'm of the firm belief that high prices are a cancer on society, they have sucked money out of the economy, handing it to banks who've squandered it.

The same goes for the whole area. I would like to remind you of what you actually said.;)

House prices in Maidstone are more expensive than in 2007. If thats what a crash means then lets have another one.

Perhaps you'd like to apologize. Or perhaps you're the Village idiot?
