Which printer is best for cheap ink?!

Thanks for that. Had a look around in PC world, but nobody seemed interested in selling me anything. Spoke to one lady sales assistant and she obviously did not know the first thing about printers. The one I went to look at they did not have. Have also noticed that Comet, Argos, PCW all have similar printers from the same companies, all with different model numbers. Yes have tried all ways to move the cartridge holder but short of breaking the machine it's no go. Still as it's broken anyway.............. I'll think about it."0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0

They have all inks from compatibles to Manufacturer's Genuine cart's.
I have to agree with those posting here who favour HP. I have a Photosmart c5380, latest in a short series of HP printers since my first Deskjet, 14 years ago. Yes, cart's can be expensive and the printer may be a bit more so than another model - but how long do you want it to last? I've had 3 HP's in those 14 years. I only parted with the last one because it was a CP1700, a huge A3+ job which I used for business. So big, it came in a crate with handles. Since I retired, I have stuck with HP. The 1700 is still going strong with someone else, having been new in 1999. I used only HP print heads and ink tanks, but the present owner gets compatibles from the above supplier. Last tanks and heads I bought were around £28 each, but lasted for ages even after printing long runs of brochures and school prospectuses (prospecti?) The heads had to be changed only twice in all those years, wearing out separately. HP have a very good website, the support is good and upgrades from the site are easy.
BTW, anyone desperate for a cartridge will find relatively cheap ones at Wilkinson (Wilko's). In the WH Smith in Louth, the same cart's are £5+ more expensive than the Wilko's about 50 yards down the road.
Printers are all subject to the same manufacturer's sales procedure; sell them cheaply, make the replacement cartridges expensive. Kodak may make cheaper photos than HP, but the Kodak ones will fade and the HP ones will not. HP Vivera inks are colour fast. Using genuine cart's during the life of your printer's warranty means that a faulty printer will be replaced. Traces of non-genuine ink will negate the warranty, and they do check.
Yer pays yer money and yer takes yer choice...I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

Have also used inks from here and the delivery is included

Both the above will refund if they do not work, so maybe worth getting one set to see how you get on0
