Roundabout road rage

Exemplary behaviour/signalling and idiot lane changing will be evident in no time as it always is at my nearest roundabout. Interestingly it seems to be motorcycles that are most consistently safe users with correct signalling, almost as if every other vehicle is a mortal threat to them!
This is what we plan to do. I am very interested to see how other drivers deal with the issue of taking the second exit.0 -
I must admit, I rarely use the horn, the only times I do I tend to keep my hand on it until the driver is aware I'm there, so sometimes it can be a long blast. (The last time I was stopped in two lanes of traffic on a dual carriageway, and the LHD truck parked next to me in the layby decided it was safe to pull out. I must have been in his blind spot. A short toot didn't work, and he couldn't smell my underware)0

If you look at the Google shot of the roundabout you will see it is not marked into lanes , this is common with most roundabouts which are unmarked . Only the entry roads are lane marked. The driver therefore has to imagine lane markings and stay within that mental image, but that road , how many lanes 2 ? , 3 ?, the road is wide enough for 3 .
Yes! It is wide enough for three. I always stay clearly within the left hand lane, when taking the second exit, so there is no ambiguity about which lane I am in. Nevertheless, I have learned a lot from this discussion and feel a lot more comfortable now about taking this roundabout. I am sure my friend will too. She realizes now that the other driver was probably unclear about her intentions and felt threatened by her road positioning.
For us, this is one of the few (local) roundabouts we have to cope with. I just thank God we dont have to deal with some of the more complex ones that have been described here.0
