Sure, facts is fact, and without the facts there is no fact!!!
Without my xp to me my pc is nothing, as I am certainly not intelligent enough to get to grips with any other op system that may require more brain power than I am willing to give........or have:D
Im not saying that other os are any harder but as long as I can switch mine on and happily do what I do then Im ok...;) In that respect Microsoft is ok by meI have nothing better to do!!!!

This is rubbish 100% How would a company force you to change a operating system its common sense I mean an employee of MS isnt going to appear on your doorstep and collar you, who ever told you this has been sniffing glue.0 -

You're free to keep XP on your PC for as long as you want.
Microsoft will be supporting it until 2011 so you have nothing to worry about."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -

Only relavant to buying a new pc really. Nobody is forcing you to change. MS only recently stopped supporting windows 98 and look how old that is. Even then people who use 98 today don't HAVE to change, they only do if they find it more convenient to do so."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Dell don't seem to offer it though - all they give on the laptops and desktops is Home Basic which lets face it is not really worth having, imo.
The word is that there's only one installation disk and the key you have enables/disables versions, further to this you can pay m$ extra for the features you don't have enabled. Now if this is true, you could start with a cheap version and pay later, or wait for the white hats to figure out how to crack the system...
