Ebuyer were selling a 2gb card for £7. but due to high volume of customers, have up'd there price to £7.99 £9.39 inc VAT http://www.ebuyer.com/product/123402/product_info/rb/25669592972
and the more you buy the cheaper they are.

delivery charge is £4.00 if you buy 1 or 100....0

Please also remember that the cheaper ones are not always reliable long term.
I generate some of my income as a photographer, and I certainly couldn't afford to use an unbranded card for work.
Look for Sandisk, Fuji, Lexar etc.0 -
good point
i recently bought a vodaphone memory chip for my sons phone, worked well on computer, phone saw it and indeed read from it, however it didnt seem to work correctly on it, for exmaple if i moved 4 films from teh phone to the card, only the last one would be there on card, the other 3 would have disappeared.
it also wouldnt save films / photos to the card, I have actually sent it back and requested a replacement, that came and didnt even work at all, the 3rd one has now arrived a differnet brand. Kingston, which many know as a good computer memory brand, i won't know until tonight if my sons phone like it.0 -
I GB, SD card £6.69 including postage is available from

I also checked 7DayShop first - it's normally the cheapest of the lot.
However, as already pointed out, the speed of such cards is important, although for general storing/carrying of computer files it doesn't matter all that much.
High speed cards such as:

are a little more expensive but are particularly valuable for use with digital cameras.0 -

Also for anyone who hasn't got a card reader I can highly recommend these Sandisk Ultra Plus cards - they plug straight into your computers USB port meaning no card reader needed:

£8.60 (plus p+p) for the 1GB one. I bought one of these a year ago and it cost £35!!! Excellent card though and brilliant being able to just plug it straight into your USB port to take pics or whatever off of it.0 -
