I`d love to know how many of the people on here who take their kids to school by car/4x4 could actually put the kid on a bus or walk them there. Left foot forwards followed by the right and repeat

I'm not sure what you're getting at - at my DDs school the policy is that until they are 8 years old they have to be taken to the school gates in the morning, and picked up from the school gate, by a parent/guardian. If no parent/guardian/specified adult there, they don't get out of school.
My DD can, and does, walk to school, and she'll be walking to and from school when she starts secondary every day.0 -
It's a sort of Scottish Chav:D
They are indeed.
NED stands for Non-Educated Delinquent.
A typical Scottish "Ned" Mother:
- shouts and swears at her numerous offspring (all of whom have different fathers - at least one of which is typically at her majesties pleasure)
- smokes and drinks excessively
- dabbles in and/or deals drugs
- wears sports wear (despite never exercising)
- has a "tango" orange spray tan
- has peroxide blonde hair which is typically greasy and scraped back into a pony tail
- wears a lot of gold jewellery (usually one piece of jewellery identifies their name)
- has never had a job and has no intention of ever getting one
- has a partner/husband who also has no intention of finding employment, preferring to dabble in his "own business" (selling shady goods in pub car park etc)
It's maybe a blatant stereotype and somewhat harsh - however they do exist!"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
You learn something every day.0

Never heard of 'Neds', but from that description, they aren't just restricted to Scotland, believe me. And you missed one point:
- sits parked on the zig-zag lines, while smoking out of the car window.0 -

jelly tot-I hope your parenting is a slack as mine and you make sure you buy wine whilst filling the kids with sweeties - I know I did today!People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.
