  • Sorry maybe that was a bit harsh - just your posts don't fill me with confidence!
  • You need to pass whatever customer details you have to the police and banks so they can put a flag on all the accounts.
  • I would have thought phoning and emailing those customers you thought could have been affected would have been a priority rather than sending a letter via snail mail.
    I bet if the goods had been dispatched without payment being taken you would have been on the phone right away asking for card details.
    I have had to cancel my CC and will now have to contact all the companies that I have CC standing orders with to supply them with new card details.

    You say its not your fault, well it certainly isnt mine, you want to trade online then the buck stops at your door I'm afraid.
  • Im not saying "its not my fault" like that - im just asking for a little patience as im doing my best to get to the bottom of this. Of course a letter by post was best as that is the only way I could have been sure that it would have arrived. Ive also been active on MSE all week in posts and talking to people regarding this and spoken to a number of people on the phone from MSE. You have to understand it was just a handful of customers and there was no way I could have been certain what was going on at that time.

    We're just a small family run company and I am currently at a loss - but i'm not running away. I'll have to take all other questions by email now guys sorry as I have a lot of work to do on our servers. Thank you.

  • I wouldn't rule out someone with a vendetta, rather than an attempt to profit from the details. The police are the people to look at this.

    Rosegold, yes probably, and you have less protection with a debit card, contact your bank and ask for a new card.
  • I’ve spent yesterday with my bank and there going to look into it but at the moment I’m still out of pocket and i paid with a debit card.

    I do feel this is the best place for the matter to be discussed as it all started on here with the DVD deal and this thread was the first info I had on the matter before having any letters from Neo this thread was too late to save me but i'm sure it has help some people from having there money taken.
  • Just rang my bank sorted with a new card, can't take that chance.
  • I really hope I don't need to go through all this again with my order, I had this happen to me last year and the calls to the bank regarding my account went on for three months afterwards regarding transactions before everything was sorted out.

    I found the bank very helpful regarding it (Halifax Mastercard out of interest). Each of those transactons was for airline tickets at around £200 each, 14 transactions all in. I received a letter last month from one of the airlines threatening me with legal action which I had to get sorted out.

    I feel for anyone who's affected by this, it's not nice.
