  • Hi Guys

Well DD and I had a lovely day yesterday. We have had our names down for an allotment for just under a year and often just go down there to visit some of the friends we have made. Well I had a call on Saturday to go down there on Sunday and we helped this lovely lady with her plot, we even came home with two bag fulls of fresh veg :):)

So, we will be helping her for the time being. The weather was lovely too so that made it even nicer. Hopefully one day we will have our own but until then helping is better than nothing.

    Take care.

    Hello Lil,

How are you doing? Have you had a good week?

Well done on the plot share. I'd love to have fresh veg on hand. It tastes so much nicer, doesn't it?

I hope all is going well for you. x

    Hi MT

Sorry been absent just lately. Had a busy week with DD leaving junior school, school plays, leaving assembly and leavers disco. Also lots of tears :o You'd think they were never going to see each other again. At least they have social networking and mobile phones nowadays, I didn't have anything like that.

Been down to the allotments again today, the weather here was amazing so I'm a bit burnt even though I put suncream on. I love it now we can bring potatoes and veg home.

Had a few more sales on e-bay so need to get them packaged up ready to send tomorrow.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend, off to catch up on the other diaries now :)

    Take care.

  • Hi Guys

Things seem to have crawled to a stand still until payday as I'm broke :o I have enough to last me until pay day and then hopefully I can make some head way with the payments off my debts.

I have quite a big pile to go on ebay but am struggling with the time to list them. I also have a whole new school uniform to buy with DD going to high school in September.

The weekend was great though, caught up with an old friend on Saturday evening, just sat around hers so a no spend night :rotfl: then down to the allotments on Sunday afternoon. You would have thought by tea time I would have had enough but then I started on my garden and was out there until it was going dark. End result, lovely front garden.

I love gardening, its very relaxing and I can't wait to get my own allotment although I probably have a three year wait. At least at the moment I can pick up tips and I'm learning quite a lot.

Hope this sun lasts for a while longer and everyone has had a good day.

    Take care.

  • Hi Everyone

    Payday :j:j

So I have managed to pay £200 off my debts and hopefully I will have a bit more at the end of the month to add to it but I want to leave myself a bit of a buffer as I am on holiday next week and would like a couple of days out with DD.

I have also sold three items on ebay so I have the money coming from that soon too. I have paid for DD's new school bag for high school and I need to get the rest of her uniform next week.

How positive am I feeling now I have finally made some payments. Woo hoo :T:T It feels great. Hopefully next week will be LSD's, weather depending, we will be able to take picnic's with us and we won't be going to far so no more petrol expenses to add on. Gas and electric have been paid for the month too.

Had a nice weekend, went down to the allotment on Saturday and on Sunday spent the day sorting DD's bedroom. Bless her, she doesn't really like throwing anything away, but she managed to make two piles, one to go on ebay and one for the charity shop. I have also bagged her old school uniform up to send to the charity shop too.

I just need to get my petrol for the month tomorrow (have a voucher for 6p off every litre from my Auntie) so hopefully will be able to fill her up to the top for a change.

I also have a couple of cheap shopping weeks coming up as DD will be on holiday with her dad :o, and I am aiming after tomorrow to have a couple of NSD's. This is something I need to improve on. Leave card at home Lil!!

Can't think of anything else to report so I will go catch up on other diaries.

    Take care.

    Lil

    Hello Lil,

It's good to hear how positive you're sounding. The time off should be such a treat too so I'm really hoping the weather improves for you both.

You sound really organised and on top of things! Have a lovely day.

  • Hi Everyone

Well its been a carp couple of months to be honest and I am so sorry for not being on here :(

I am now currently unemployed. I haven't been unemployed for years and I am pretty scared. When I moved into my other job things took a turn for the worse at work. They were pretty horrible to me. I also had to start on a new probationary period. Anyway to cut a long story short, the last couple of weeks at work were horrible, nobody was speaking or only when they had to and the atmosphere was awful. I was on holiday last week and I had already decided that I didn't want to go back and was going to hand my notice in when I got an e-mail (really, an e-mail) to basically say don't bother going back and they were bringing my probationary period to an end. The excuses they gave were a load of carp so I'm off to CAB with the e-mails, letters and texts that I have received to see where I can go from here.

So on Monday I had to go down to the Job Centre. I have applied for a couple of jobs already but I am so worried about my rent at the end of the month. I have another appointment down there tomorrow and have also got to hand in my form to see if I can get any help with my rent at the Council Offices.

    So, thats the bad news.

Good news - My DD has started high school and is loving it. Allotment still going well and still producing and I am also helping on another too.

Will have to go to look for tips now on cheaper shopping. Have already shopped at Al di this week and it almost halved my shopping bill. Going to start meal plans so that I can try and reduce it more.

I haven't just avoided you guys, I have also neglected my beloved spreadsheet too. Can you believe that? I have been to scared to go on it. Hopefully by next week I will know what money I have coming in and will be able to sort it out again.

I have just been watching Extreme Couponing on tv and I really wish that we could have something like that over here.

I hope some of you guys are still around, LG, MT and Miggy and haven't given up on me :embarasse:embarasse

I think I have a lot of catching up to do on your diaries too.

Sorry again and I hope everyone is ok.

    Take care

    Lil
