Shoes for son (clarkes?)

  • I have always bought Clarks shoes for my daughter who is now 8. She has wide feet like myself and they do fit really well with no trouble with blisters or sore feet. If you can a pair in the sales it is ideal. I just got my daughter some flashing lights trainers for a tenner int he sale. The shoes do last longer and I have never had to buy another pair due to them falling apart, only if she has gone up in size.
A freind of mine has gone through 2 pairs of shoes with her 7year since January as she didn't want to pay £26/28 for a clarks pair. She bought them from shoefayre and at £18. She has already spent more than if she had gone to Clarkes and is kicking herself for trying to be better with money and saving as it has cost her more now!
You are only as old as the man you feel ;):p

Yes - but my shop would be better for my sales :p

The shoecare is cheaper in the outlets too I think - not sure though. You'll have to let me know! :)
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

I will do, depending on whether I get there or into town first :)

Thanks for that suggestion. I tried Clarks three years running and each time they said they could not help us as they didn't do his size. I will try John Lewis. Thanks again.

    Quackers,

Unfortunately/Luckily I don't work there much anymore, worked there since 2003 but I'm now on the seasonal contract cos I'm at uni. Absolutely hated it last year as I felt the company were well out of order changing our discounts/benefits etc despite telling us the new contract would make no difference to us at all. Not a happy bunny! Not just that but we had a new manager who was rubbish!

Shoecare is cheaper at Factory Stores, I get mine down at Street when I go down. Although if you want to buy it in my old store go ahead! we always used to have rubbish shoecare sales lol!

  • WHile on the subject of shoes, I always try and buy nearly new ones from e-bay but I would like to measure kids feet at home instead of traveling 60odd miles tot he nearest shoe shop.

Does anyone know of anywhere that I could buy a measure for feet?

Debt free HOORAY !:T :A Years from now it won't matter what kind of car we drove, what kind of house we lived in, how much money we had in the bank, nor what our clothes looked like but the world may be a little better because, we were important in the lives of our children.

Always get all 3 dd's from clarks. Shpes for older ones usually last a full school year or thereabouts.

Have noticed that they can get a pair of shoes, wear them and be fine. Me in silly fashion shoes, has a blister or bleeding heels afer ten minutes!
  • thanks for all the comments and advice. i think after reading them all i will defineately go for clarkes this time. i had a look in their window yesterday and saw a leather pair for £36 which are very similar to the syle my son likes so am keeping fingers crossed he will like them too. i will also go for the shumagic as it sounds like a good invesment. unfortunately my sons school do not allow trainers even if they are black and if caught wearing them the kids get an automatic 1 hour detention.
i am amazed that some younger children are in adult sizes already!
