Hadn't even thought about that, buying next size up in the sale, good tip scarlett and wise money saving.0

sorry but my 13yr old would never be seen dead in clarks shoes (his words not mine)0

I must admit, I always buy Clarkes for my girl's ( school shoes ) They both have big feet for their age , but very narrow. Shumagic is a godsend with DD2 she comes out of school in a worse state than all the boys. So far this term she's ruined 4 pairs of tights and 2 pairs of trousers and we're only 4 weeks into term.........Her shoes have held up remarkably well"Every time you feel yourself getting pulled into someone else's nonsense, tell yourself: Not my circus, not my monkeys." - Mark Borkowski.

I can't buy shoes for my 10 yr old son from Clark's as they don't do his size. He has very narrow feet.0

How much is shumagic that everyone is raving about? I'm going to get some. Does only clarkes sell it? Does it come in different colours? DD scrapped the fronts of her new shoes the day after I bought them by scraping the fronts of them as she walked :mad:0

My hubby bought my son's last new shoes(£15) in September, they were not Clarkes for once ,he had to have a size bigger than he wanted because he has wide feet , they didn't do wide sizes and they broke last week(4 months use).
I took him into Clarkes and bought him some that
A he actually likes enough to bother to keep clean
B fit his feet as he needs extra wide
C are leather and you can see they are stitched.
They were £70 but the last pair I bought him lasted 3 years which makes them more economical than the £15 for 4 months shoes even if they only lasted 1 year, 8 months. The better made shoes are easier for a shoe repair shop to mend too.
He has stopped growing footwise I think though as he is 18.
I understand the dilemma with younger ages. I wonder how the VAT works if you are buying adult sized shoes for a child. The children's sized shoes are usually cheaper because of the no VAT on kids shoes.0 -

.
I'm afraid that is very untrue! cheaper shoes tend to be glued more which is easier and cheaper to fix, stitched shoes sometimes have to be taken totally apart to repair, the cost involved is not worth the repair,(DH used to be a cobbler) Clarks shoes are no better made than anywhere else.
BTW,I have a pair of boots bought in Shoezone for £12 3 years ago, worn everyday in winter and still look brand new,I have a Clarks pair,£70,mum bought me,totally worn out after one season.Expensive doesn't always mean better quality, you are paying for a name.Debt at highest £102k

Spendless, Shumagic comes in lots of different colours, every clarks kids leather shoe has a matching polish and it costs 2.50. Well worth the money! just ask at the till and they will find the oe which matches the shoes the closest. Nice and easy to use as well, has an integrated sponge. (can anyone tell I work there!?)
OP, a boys shoe of size 3+ will cost from around £34, up to £40 for the largest sizes. May be more, that's what it was last summer!
loveandlight: how narrow is your son? Have you tried an E fitting with insoles? If not, try John Lewis, we find they have a pretty good range for kids with REALLY narrow feetOfficial DFW Nerd No 2750 -
Clarks shod my son until age 15/16 - he was very hard on shoes so shoe magic was a godsend. I never had a pair that were outworn, only outgrown. Thats a long time, and a lot of pairs of shoes.
My 6 year old is now following suit, and - so far so good.1373/100000 -

I was just going to ask if you work there - I do too
Hope your shoecare ratio improves after that online sale
Oh, its only available in Clarks guys - so get buying
The reason it works so well is that it has a high dye content so it does actually put some dye back into the shoe. Its best to put it on at night and let it soak in overnight and buff it up in the morning if you want a shine.
The company Punch actually make all of Clark's shoecare products but the specification from Clarks is a lot higher than any other company they make for which is why Clarks shoecare stuff is that bit more expensiveSometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0
