    Hey fabby lady,

I've just caught up with the last couple of pages & you do indeed seem to be a lot happier & chilled.

After weeks of rain I finally managed to get out in the garden yesterday to cut the grass & I had to empty the grass box 5 times as the stuff was so long. I have been doing lots of indoor gardening (growing from seed) so now have to find a time when it's not raining to plant everything out ... I forsee me harvesting leeks directly from the windowsill at this rate :D

Oooo, leeks on the windowsill... *ponders whether she could grow chocolate oranges in the same way*.

Anyhoo...Rosa - good to see you pottering along, missus! Sorry not to have been around (....did I hear a packet of counters being shaken??).

Oooh a chocolate orange tree might be a plan... a chocolate mint plant or even better, a chocolate hazelnut tree :) why can't the evil Monsant0 do useful things like that?

Counters, ahem, ah yes - here you go. Fortunately I was distracted from them by the stash of hazelnut Lindt from the last Sainsbugs raid :D

I've had a whole five days off work again and it's been bl00dy marvellous. (Despite the migraine.)

Had a fab day out yesterday - didn't exactly go walking as the forecast was dire, but friend kindly offered lunch so we did that, sat by her fire for a bit, then did a couple of loops around the village to see some greenery. And hares :j

I haven't quite managed to get going on the project yet, but what I have managed to do in the last couple of days is untangle quite a bit of my attitude. And since FlyLady's been helping with that, I've also untangled a bit of the flat. The car is now nearly sorted, I've done a huge stack of ironing (more to be finished asap) and have tidied up a bit including finding a few more books to go on Amaz0n. Will be onto proper FL Zone cleaning next week and happy to be feeling a bit more in control.

Have been thinking through the MSc thing, decided against forcing myself into doing stuff - sensible though that might have been - and have just waited on figuring out how to feel differently about it. Which I think I finally do. Am beginning to remember that it's only an exercise in proving I was listening, in order to get a marker of competence that will give me a little more security. Not a PhD or demonstration of my value as a human being. So that's taken off some of the anxiety and now I think I'll be able to get on with it. (Also because having the flat nearly sorted and plans for the garden and allotment means I have nothing else taking up my time lol. I had forgotten how fab it is to run on the FlyLady thing, now I can do bits of stuff knowing that the whole lot will be dealt with in the plan.) I was intending to do some this evening but got detoured with a phone call from a friend, so have focused on getting other cleaning finished up and will get onto it tomorrow.

The point about needing to take care of myself properly in order to really achieve anything was a good reminder as well. I haven't been eating brilliantly since I moved and want to get that sorted too. It will all happen bit by bit.

"In four months I will only have a full time job and in about 18 months I will be debt free." You wouldn't believe how much those words have run through my head since I typed them. That's one of the things that has suddenly made the project seem a lot more bearable - it's a short term sacrifice, then it really will be over. As for the DF, I've just been playing with the spreadsheet and it looks like at the end of March 2013, when my job would move, my total would be about £4,270. I'm hoping I can make it less by dropping interest rates etc in the meantime. That will give me a whole lot of options to think about.

There's a whole lot of other things slowly percolating through my head at the moment, some of them too personal or too odd to post, but hopefully starting some good changes.

.. pole does seem to be one of those things where I find myself going 'Oh. It actually worked. Um, what goes where now and how did I do that again?' And it's kind of important what goes where, otherwise you fall down...

If in doubt, crucifix out :D
It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :j

unless it's a crucifix you're in thinking 'errr, now what?' :rotfl: I often go for the 'and just slither down to the ground in a heap' option :D

Can't wait til slithering in a heap is a pre-considered option :rotfl:

Haven't got to pole this week as got totally confused by the long weekend and leave. No classes Thur - Sat as it's used for private lessons and performances, so will arrange to go to conditioning class on Sunday and one in the week.

Was good and returned unopened joist-finding gadget to B&Q, since I won't need it now I have more class options. But then was bad and went into TK Maxx... exiting with one pair of black shorts (I don't usually wear black, but they are a fab cut and material, and go with the club top that was free with monthly subs and is surprisingly decent quality), one pair of grey and turquoise shorts also fab cut and material, plus one turquoise top (didn't even try it on, it matched the shorts and had magically appeared when I came back from the changing rooms, so grabbed it and it fits). Total £39 :o but rather better than it would have been elsewhere. Excuses/ justifications include realising that it's so long since I've done any exercise all my stretch bra tops no longer stretch :o, and the fact that the new studio has full length mirrors  as if being surrounded by flexible, toned, muffin-top-free 20 somethings wasn't scary enough! Still, now at least I will feel obliged to exercise the new shorts and exercise myself in the process :rotfl:

Err, just popping to say that I've just had to run down to the end of the garden in jamas & wellies to release a very alive & very jumpy mouse from inside the yoghurt pot which I caught it in.

Still sure you want a cat ? :rotfl:

:rotfl: Well my garden is only about 6m long so it might be safer released on the other side of the house, via the hallway that a cat wouldn't be using...

There may be benefits to not having a cat flap. (If you don't put that down, you're not coming in... )

I must email the shelter. And the landlord. When/ if this rain stops, I am going to demolish the other leylandii. I don't really know why I'm bothering to tell him as I simply can't believe anybody would want to keep the ugly things :rotfl:

Definitely benefits to not having a catflap - it does stop the neighbours from coming in & sprawling all over the sofa when out at work.

The neighbours cat that is, not themselves :D
