I've had such a lovely evening :j Good Yule, everybody
Sainsbugs bill was very much worth it. Had friends over so cooked, made mulled wine, made mulled cider, we have chatted and laughed and even wassailed the apple trees. Feeling fabulously connected and positive and happy, looking forward to the new year bringing new loveliness :T
Now for some music to sing along to while I finish the washing up

Well my nice tidy spreadsheets are a shambles thanks to both Christmas and the car battery saga. Bits to be repaid to other accounts all over the place. Last month's budget was also shafted due to the extras paid out and now being recompensed from today's paycheque. So this month's totals are somewhat bodged, but I promise I have tried to estimate as accurately as possible.
I don't want to wreck my progress by having to record the money that is currently on the credit accounts but due to be repaid within a fortnight from either the breakdown recovery company or family. So have taken these off this months bills, taken off the payments I just made, and then added the amount of last month's interest back on to give roughly the maximum the account should be at by the end of this month.
I have no major spends to come in the next few weeks except of course a deposit for when I move, but I'll worry about that when it happens. I have some spare cash in Jan and Feb due to increased pay (back to full time), car loan being finished, and no council tax bill. So hopefully that will go towards the deposit and avoid too much backtracking.
So... progress... I reckon this month I will have paid off £765 (that's including taking the reclaims off current total) and reduced my overall debt to £9,920. That breaks the £10K barrier :j for the first time in several years. And means that I have already paid off over 10% of the amount for my Christmas 2012 challenge.
The other news for this month is that I should end up within the interest free £500 of my overdraft next payday. So will be trying very hard to stick to this

Er and now I must pop over to the Clothes Challenge and confess to a pair of boots that followed me home today...

I couldn't bear to think of their cute purpleness and soft leather hanging all lonely on the rack at Christmas without feet to make them feel loved and wanted... I only wish I could give a home to more... :rotfl:Debt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress
