I keep looking at the kindle and thinking about getting one, but then think not have time to read "proper" books. How much are books for it and how easy do you find it reading from it? I used to (before spent loadsa time on lappy) read a lot in bed laid on side, but guess with the kindle you can't do that? What else if anything can you do on it or is it just for reading books you download and pay for?

Kindle is electronic book to read. Nothing else. DD want one:D:D:D if you do not know what else to spend on your APGs:rotfl:

If you got cold --- you no come to me house:p:p:p:p

That could have been my one christmas prezzie instead of me having none:(:( But if you post it early next week I could have a birthday prezzie:j:j:jAssuming the watch exists of course:p:p:p

And after a remark lke that , I might not send it again......will be up in a few mins and the first thing will be to take a photo and email it to you, then you can see what you may or may not be getting for your birthday.did not understand Aesops instructions on how to do pics on here , so will attach pic to an email and then you can post it .....think the catchphrase from Bullseye might just come to mind....as Jim Bowen would say....look at what you could have 'won'( got).......

    I love my kindle.

Until Autumn 2010 my main 'home' business was books and I kept thinking that all these electronic devices would just not really catch on. However my book market died literally overnight and I decided to look at the kindle and see why I was losing my business to it. Got one for Christmas 2010 and have never looked back.

I started with getting just the free books (and there are dozens of new ones every week). Now though if I want a newly released book I look at both the cost of a real copy against a kindle copy and buy the cheapest.

For travelling to work on th etrain I find it very comfortable to read. At home though my sitting room is dark in the winter so I bought a cheap reading light clip and use that.

    Nice wombles CW.

People buy weird things after christmas - have any of you womblers looked at the items on your receipts. One of mine had a frying pan, a pregnancy test, skinny mocha and 6 bottles of tomato ketchup.

Do you think there is an answer in the list here? a pregnancy test and 6 bottles of ketchup:eek:

Hugs to aesop.I think its genetic us females of the species are just built to cope better!

Actually I'm quite lucky on this count. My OH is pretty good most of the time and quite good taking care of cups of tea and dinner when I'm sick.Mind you I think it helps that we work in the same job so he appreciates how tired he usually is when we both come off a shift but i still do the cooking.Gives hom perspective.Mind you we dont have a nipper to be looking after yet.And i still have to give him a kick in the butt every so often;);)
  • My new resolutions:

Much like many of you I want to loose some weight.Whether its possible(with my job i loose fat, gain muscle, weight stays the same) is another matter.

I think I have mastered coupons but would really like to get better at comping. You guys and all your wins are a bit of an inspiration and although I am mrs no luck i recon if i enter enough i got to start winning sometime!
I'd also like to get better at earning via surveys and points sites.Might need some help from you guys there.Tried and failed this many times before as ended up on sites where it seemed impossible i.e getting half way through surveys to be booted off.
I think quiet season (jan - mar) is a good time for me to try this.

Finally I need to learn to give myself a break.2011 was a heavy year for me.Thankfully life didnt throw too much crap my way this year but between doing open university, work based qualifications and all the presure i put on myself i have spent so much time stressed.I spent too much time beating myself up about things or adding things i didnt need to to my already full schedule.
This year i need more balance :)
