    Not strictly true... if it is a commercial workplace calling with their own phone system then it is a system setting whether to withhold the number or not, you cannot override it.

    And I don't know which provider you are referring to so may be wrong, but are you getting confused with 141 which witholds your number...? AFAIK 1471 doesn't turn on CLIm, in fact it is the voicemail number for BT....

    1571 is the landline voicemail number

    and back on topic, again, i'd recommend hullomail to anyone with a blackberry, android or iphone. And for me it is free to divert to on my t-mobile sim only plan. so worth checking out.
