our bob no balls staffie is named after bob paisley, we took him off sister after she found him roaming streets (kept him for 3 weeks) we had to take him to the pub cos dd's had booked a meal for my birthday, we were trying to pick names sister had called him bruno omg as if!!!!
looked at tv and liverpool fc was on and i loved bob paisley from years ago so thats how we got him name the the no balls speaks for itself, so i think when you see her you will know
  • I really believe that when you get puppy home she'll choose her name within a few days. Once you see her character it'll come to you in a flash of light.

    Ours are Diego ,

tis true, when I got Rio I was planning on calling him Diego but when I got him home we sat watching the United match and whenever the commentator mentioned Rio Ferdinand, he reacted to it. So he was either called Rio before going in the pound or he chose his own name.
Although he usually gets called Reebo's instead (apostrophe there for pronunciation purposes)

I have two bullmastiff girls called Bo and Holly.

If I get another bulldog she'll be Betty :rotfl:

I also like old fashioned names that you wouldn't really call a person anymore ie Vera, Gladys,

  • Don't go for Lady it's so embarrasing when you sit in a packed vets and they call " Lady M....." Neither of us looks like we are titled! She is also long haired and looks more like tramp (from the film). Moral is don't let the children pick the name. I agree with ClootiesMum her name will come with her character. Our other dog is called Bolt and it is so apt, people always comment how appropriate it is when we call him back again and again.

Sorry quick post, will catch up later and it may have been already said. I always pick a name for my dogs which has two syllables like Pop-py, Mol-ly, Pip-pin. I personally find they respond much better when calling them and commands x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
