    Morning All

A bit murky here again, but 11C so not so bad, the B&B pudding went down well, and I have just frozen 3 portions for DH, to try to keep me from grabbing some when peckish :o Washing from yesterday still in the conservatory, it is drying, all but slowly, and will take some thicker things into the radiator towel rail in the main bathroom later for when the heating comes on this evening. DH is busy in the garden again, shredding up the branches of the conifer which fell over our side, and the rest of the shrubs he cut down yesterday. Filling the compost bin with some, and spreading the rest over the garden to mulch. We have put the feed our for the birds again, but need to let them find it again, not sure the noise of the shredder is helping:eek::T:D

I have enough food in the fridge, and cupboards for a few days, so going to eat up for a while, then raid the freezer. Have 6 eggs left so will probably manage until Friday and then go to the town market. Luckilly my DH never minds the same thing twice, not easy to have different when only 2 of you.

By the way have just been talking to Jayward on MSN, who thinks she has nothing to add btw, and I said I fancied Leeds town centre and market on the 1st, and she was good for that too, NicLou is too, anyone else joining us?

OS wise, nothing else much needs doing, apart from "the office/junk room" so maybe have a try in here later. Need to get DH to get the gift box out of the loft to see what I have, do not have much Xmas shopping, but will see what I have.

NPM Stop beating yourself up, Noah couldn't ask for anyone who was more sacrificing for him, I hope you get his schooling sorted.
Beth - Slow down you are wearing me out just reading about wht you are doing.
emsf - Glad things are picking up.
Lou Are you up? Dressed? Eaten? Walk taken??
Flutterby Try to stay with the course, it is easier than starting again, and hope work can help you out.
RR Hope things get sorted out with DB & kids
HH strange isn't it when I was working I often woke up early, now retired, and nowhere near as busy I can sleep 8 hours no trying.
Julie - hope the scan goes OK for DH
hillstep - Glad you are feeling a little better
LWolf - How are you today?

Someone who knows me on FB please send me an invite to FW's page so I can see the pup, still considering a doggie here, if only to get me more exercise.

((hugs)), spoons, Hi-5's, and positive vibes as needed/wanted. Take care all DG

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?

I keep telling him to get some legal advice, honestly I could tell you some horror stories about her, with her perfect house, and the kids starving and filthy dirty, there is never a loo roll or soap or washing up liquid in the house, she is only concerned about what people will think of the house !!

Maybe he needs to start not giving her housekeeping, and going shopping either with or without her and buying the basics. DG

Redruby - I know how it is really. I was always fighting some sort of battle in the UK but, looking back, it was easier to deal with in English!

I hope that dreadful situation with the children can be sorted out soon.

NPM It certainly looks better for Noah on paper, and he is asking to move too, so it must be worth a try. Maybe the schools would let him have a day or two there for him to see it? ((hugs)) to you both! DG

  • it is a long old process DG:o after the meeting the LEA have to get the report and they have to agree it is where he should go, then you have to wait for a place...expecting it to take months....I know some people who have had to keep their kids at home for up to a year till a place is available.

Would you feel able to do that NPM, maybe to give Noah a break? Have you spoken to the school and checked out places? DG

Ceirdwyn I love the Kindle case! Brilliant!:D I'm still umming and ah-ing about getting a Kindle. It'd be easier than holding a heavy book when my hands/arms are really bad, but I get so little time for reading, that I can't really justify the expense.

Thank you for asking, the arm was so bad first thing this morning I actually screamed when I moved it (and scared the life out of Mr LW:eek:); but an extra dose of Oramorph has brought it back to bearable.:o It hasn't fallen off yet, so I guess that's a bonus!:rotfl: It's a bit worrying that the pain has now spread across to the right shoulder and down the arm to my left elbow, but hey ho, I'll work out how to do my tasks without screaming too much - and there's only me here just now, so it doesn't matter that I'm swearing a lot.;) There's people in worse straits than I am.:o

Beth I've been catching up with the tail end of yesterday's thread; now, I know I'm the least qualified person here to comment on family stuff, so feel free to tell me to wossname off, but my feeling is that if your best pal was burning herself out running round looking after everyone else, whilst waiting for kidney tests to be done and being unwell herself, you'd be telling her to take some time out, say "no" occasionally, and generally look after herself - right? :o

NPM (((HUGS))) I hope you can get a suitable school sorted for Noah - but you mustn't beat yourself up; we all do what seems to be the best thing based on the information available at the time. Sometimes it turns out it wasn't actually the best thing, but without a 100% reliable scrying crystal, you can't know that in advance. That's what Mr LW always tells me when I beat myself up for making a "wrong" decision, anyways.:o

Lou have you had your walk yet? Looking outside here, there are beautiful colours on the trees; I can't wait for Dilly Doglet to arrive on Thursday, so I can get on the mobility buggy and trundle up the road with her.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Hi karen, thanks for that:D

DG I have to make an appointment to view the school after xmas.
SENCO is arranging meeting but it has to suit everyone involved with him professionaly and there is quite a list! it is a legal process with the LEA and impossible to speed up iykwim.
How I wish I could just look at the school and say yes and take him there.
