I'm having big problems with plusnet. Don't bother phoning them you'll wait 20min before they pick up and then get answered by someone trained from the school of "computer says..." and "if you read the small print.... "
The online forum staff seem to be much more helpful but you still get some team idiots who seem intent on spoiling any serious communiqu! with stupid comments. When you do have a problem it seems to follow the same pattern of phone in to raise the issue, they'll attempt to fix it, you have to wait for 72 hrs. Repeat this a couple of times then they'll send out an engineer.0 -
I think they have all done with being competitive, And now its about cuttings costs.
Used to be with AOL had a good reliable service, Until CPW took over then it died a death. Service dropped
never ending lost connections.
People go on about facebook, Nothing new been there done that in the late 90's.
Moved to O2, Explained very heavy users and im sure i was told they have something silly liek 300gb before they
ask you to cut down. I did think thats more than plenty and plenty spare.
Well it appears its now 100gb, and they are enforcing it strictly.
Just when i had purchased a server and started uploading the whole family's photo's and video's
So usage is more than usual.
Found out the new iplayer, Re-downloads shows you have already watched if you have series record set.
So thats added to the months limit. Daughter using it more than usual for college work.
Prices up, Limits down and customer service? Well ive never had so many missed calls with no messages left.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Problems with the service, or problems with Customer Services? (Your post is unclear).0

Sorry - my reply was directly after (and aimed at) clarencepete.
TT telephone (and email) support has an atrocious reputation. It seems only their forums offer any semblance of decent support.0 -
Zen Internet customer support are excellent. As is their service.Where now?0

AOL are abysmal. End of story for me. In my experience Bethere have always been great. Sky I had trouble with initially but when I signed back with them again in May last year I haven't had a single issue with them - even the router works 100% of the time!0

To add to the other views about Bethere (BE) there was one time I had trouble connecting to the internet and I contacted the service desk and was greeted by an Eastern European-sounding fellow. He was really helpful actually. He did various tests and he even said they would monitor the line over a couple of days (it may have been overnight) though I was quite surprised actually how helpful they were come to think of it. However because they raised their prices I had to change over, but Bethere are really good actually and to be brutally honest the best of the bunch.
The problem was the line I was using; a tiny piece of plastic had come off the end of one of the connectors and wasn't connecting properly, but he gave an exact number of times I had been disconnected and so forth (lots of useless info I guess).0 -
A very happy Zen broadband customer. Not cheap but their customer service is excellent. Even told me not to buy a router from them but to use my old one and see if it worked - it did.0

Many thanks to everyone who have added their piece. I'm weighing up between three. Zen, Goscombe and AAISP. I'm not even lookingat price. If someone gives me the customer service i expect, they have my custom.0

1) If you want super duper brilliant customer service and money is no object then go for AAISP.
2) If you want brilliant customer service but want to pay a sensible price then go for Goscomb.
3) If you want very good customer service but are willing to pay more than Goscomb but less than AAISP then go for Zen.
I was with Goscomb a couple of years ago on a BT ipstream based service (only left them cos TalkTalk LLU'd my exchange) Once on Saturday their service went dead and I called them at 10pm not expecting any answer on their 020 london number. To my surprise Daniel Goscomb (owner) picked up the phone himself and promised to call me back within 10 mins - i think he was having dinner in a restaurant LOL. Anyway he called me back 5 mins later explaining there was a BT fibre break near Edinburgh and that BT engineers were working on itLike i said, Goscomb is the First Direct of ISPs
