MET parking charge: Letter from Debt Recovery Plus - please help

Your car was not 'illegally parked', you cannot be illegally parked on private land. There is no fine, there is no offence.
And DRP are a debt collector. The cases on their website are cases where they have collected debts - ANY debts, like utility bills etc. Not private parking alleged demands where there is no credit agreement and no contract to enforce. MET have never, ever lodged a Small Claim, it's not part of their modus operandi at all. They just pocket money from mugs who stupidly just pay them.
Please just ignore the whole thing and stop calling it a 'fine'. The DRP letter-chain is shown in full under several PPCs listed in the top sticky thread on the forum 'PPC letters, what to expect'. Read it and see which template letter you are on and what comes next.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

A side note perhaps but surely if the names, such as "Mrs Barbara Fella 0QT06070 £130.00" listed on their website (http: //www. debtrecoveryplus.co.uk/countycourtjudgements/) were real individuals who Debt Recovery Plus had "recently issued CCJ's" too, SURELY they would be in breach of the Data Protection Act 1998 as a result of sharing the identities of these individuals who they have petitioned the courts to issue a CCJ too. Anyone?0

I doubt it because most Court hearings. are , at least in theory, open to the public / press etc.
I don't think it would be a DPA Offence to report something which is already in the public domain.0 -
It's strongly suspected that the "successful cases" listed on their website are not related to private parking tickets, but to "proper" debts relating to such things as unpaid council tax and utility bills. I think someone on here has actually asked the company how many of those CCJs concern private parking tickets, but answer came there none. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Hi everyone,
I have received a parking ticket by MET parking services when I went to mcdonalds. I have a £100 fine but if I pay it within 14 days since the ticket issue date then they reduced it to£50. I only have until tomorrow to pay for the amount of £50 or else I have to pay £100. I went to CAB this morning about this but they can't help me at all and advice me to pay it instead. I even showed them the watchdog video but according to the advisor when she asked her supervisor that It will be best for me to pay the said amount which I think is a lot of money especially now. What will I do? Please help... 0 -

Yet again CAB are totally wrong over private parking tickets. Just follow the advice on here and on the Watchdog clip. Ignore. Thats all you have to do.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

Don't you dare pay it! You wasted your time going to the CAB who are CLUELESS on this scam.
How much clearer than the Watchdog video (which was also a MET bogus ticket in a MaccyD's car park!) do they want?!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have no idea what you will do.
If it was £5million it would have no more legal validity [and chance of being paid] than your amount.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -
