Perhaps our new troll Callista can answer that oneStill waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

If you fail to make payment or make contact with your proposal for payment, this account will be passed to our litigation team and legal recovery action may commence. A typical case may be referred to the County Courts for an application for a County Court Judgement. If we are successful with our application, enforcement options may include:
- An attachment of earnings order
- County Court bailiffs being instructed
-Your items being sold at public auction to pay for the judgement
What an absolute load of codswallop !
No one whatsoever can "apply for a county court judgement" There is a process to follow first.
You want to take that letter down to the cop shop and tell them someone is demanding money with menaces from you. Don't leave till you have a crime number then start the ball rolling against them.
They really are parasites and leeches, i hate them. It really does show how desperate they are now getting. Since the advent of the internet they must be losing thousands of pounds a week, well tough.
The word is getting out more and more and the more outlandish their useless threats are the more exposure they get and the more they lose.
Just what type of parasite can actually go to work each day and do that to other people?
I rather think this is semantics if we are honest ..."application for a County Court Judgement" is after all exactly what they may do by way of making a claim to the County Court ....the real deceit here is that,
1) They almost certainly won't do any such thing.
2) If they did they would in all probability lose.
Like it or not a win at County Court IS a County Court Judgement however if it is settled within the time allowed then all the doom and gloom that most people associate with a "CCJ" does not kick in.
This is of course something DCAs are keen to conceal from their victims.0 -

Hi everyone. I have always used this forum for information, but never registered before. However, I am now a victim of harassment by MET. I am on my 3rd letter and trying to resist against all temptation to pay the fine and get over and done with. And TBH, not because £50 is a lot of money, but the principle of paying such parasites.
I have a question though. on may internet forums, the advise is to ignore and not do anything. However, I was looking up the CPS vs Stephen case thinking this was an isolated case.
However I stumbled upon this on DRPL website. It is according to them recent cases won in court.
http: //www .debtrecoveryplus.co.uk/countycourtjudgements/
(sorry not allowed to post links as first post, so had to put spaces in the address)
And here is the list from the web site:
Mr Hysen Sefri 0QT26001 £135.00
Elemir Dirda 0QT26871 £115.00
Mr Jozef Demlak 0QT26987 £125.00
Mr Robert Pulko 0QT27553 £395.00
Mr Scott Wallace 0QT26996 £125.00
Miss Samantha Kelly 0QT12460 £135.00
Mr Philip Oyewale 0QT27003 £125.00
Mr Barrie Lambe 0QT29016 £115.00
Mr Mark Glynn 0QT27008 £115.00
Miss Cheryl Bennett 0QT06091 £125.00
Mr Claud Mkosi 9QZ66141 £136.00
Mr Matthew Keane 9QZ66050 £820.00
Mr Gary Robinson 0QT27073 £125.00
Samir Higgins 0QT27063 £125.00
Mr Ian Gregory 0QT06078 £130.00
Mr Wisdom Sabawu 9QZ66504 £980.00
N & A AutoCentre 0QT14107 £125.00
Mr Jason Farrar 9QZ53651 £125.00
Mrs Barbara Fella 0QT06070 £130.00
Mr Viktor Balog 0QT27051 £125.
Is this a real list or is it another scam?
PS. I will continue to resist the temptation to pay (hopefully) and hope those parasites go away.0 -
Interestingly, I googled one of the names to see what I get:
Mrs Barbara Fella 0QT06070 £130.00
and it only came up with links to the DRPL website and another debt collection company called Zennith Recovery, but they both have the same phone number and address, but different websites?!0 -
And one more thing as well,
I contacted the BPA to complain about MET services, saying that I offered to cooperate and identify the driver if they provided evidence as to who was driving and breached the contract and also told them that I have 4 independent witnesses to verify my whereabouts when the breach took place and will even testify under oath if required. I did not give them ant examples of what MET had sent me so far or the value of the fine, but the is the BPA response:
Thank you for your letter received 22.11.11 concerning the parking incident and related correspondence with MET Parking Services that you have sent to us. I can confirm that this organisation is a member of the BPA Approved Operator Scheme and as such is expected to adhere to our Code of Practice which you can review on our website – .
If a member is found to be in breach of the Code, they would be subject to our Sanctions Scheme where Operators who breach the Code can expect to receive a number of penalty points depending on the severity of the offence. As with driving offences, once an operator’s ‘licence’ has reached twelve points in any given 12-month period, then they are likely to be faced with suspension or expulsion.
Having looked at the Code in relation to this issue, I have to inform you that there is no material breach of the Code in my opinion. You do not appear to be denying that the vehicle in question was illegally parked and as a consequence received parking enforcement that does not exceed the recommendations outlined in the Code. MET Parking Services are within the boundaries of our Code, in that they are allowed to send out a Notice to Owner and Reminders, which both ask for the driver details and outline what they will do if payment is not received. The question of whether the letters sent out by MET Parking Services constitute harassment is not for this organisation to pass judgement on and would be better asked in relation to Consumer Credit Legislation – as such we are unable to take any direct action on your behalf.
Furthermore I should advise you that if this matter goes to Court, the Judge will have required both parties to have taken a co-operative approach and to have attempted to have resolved their dispute without undertaking proceedings. For example the Courts do not tend to look favourably upon operators who try and demand money by using threats. Conversely there is precedent where judgements have gone against motorists who have withheld information from operators when it has been asked for with genuine, reasonable and proper cause.
Notwithstanding the fact that we can’t offer you any direct assistance in this matter, I trust that this letter offers you sufficient background to help you decide on your next course of action. Although we sympathise with your predicament we have no power to get an operator to cancel or refund any parking enforcement charges.
Many thanks for bringing this matter to my attention.
And then it struck me that the BPA is probably funded by the existence of such parasites and therefore it is in their interest to defend them rather than side with me....
Is that a true assumption?0 -
Wawi33, if this does not put your mind to rest, nothing will. Just watch:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3J-Xl6rSlk
He is a fully qualified solicitor going on national TV advising you NOT to pay MET Parking. If he was going to give false information to millions of people he would have got nowhere near the studio to record it. MET Parking have never sued him have they? Think about it.
As for the other so called CCJ's they could be for anything and they won't be for scam invoices to do with parking your car.
The Stephen Thomas case is the only one PPC's can spout on about, and that was THREE years ago and strongly suspected of being a put up job by a PPC. How many scam invoices have all the PPC's sent out in three year? If they took as many people to court as they threaten to do, the court system would collapse, it would not be able to cope.
PPC's are conmen/women, charlatans, liars, parasites, scum who like to demand money with menaces.
Don't waste you time and effort contacting The BPA, they are a trade organisation not a statutory body, do you seriously think they will bite the hand that feeds them? They try and fail miserably to try and give some kind of creedence to the PPC's, just totally utterly ignore them. There's your true assumption.
Nothing whatsoever is going to happen to you. You will be going nowhere near a court room so again, totally utterly ignore them and take the advice of a professional solicitor in the clip above.0 -
To the OP, you asked, can anyone give any advice?
You have had the advice of a professional solicitor on the Watchdog clip which went out on national TV.
If you don't believe him, why take any notice of people who are not as qualified on an internet forum?
If a few letters with one in red scares you, just pay it like a lot of other people do. There's no more help you can be given.
Do you see how psychology works now?0 -
BPA members enforcing laws now?
"You do not appear to be denying that the vehicle in question was illegally parked"
And!
" in that they are allowed to send out a Notice to Owner and Reminders" Yes and we are perfectly entitled to ignore them!
And!
"Furthermore I should advise you that if this matter goes to Court" So the BPA are saying its OK to take the keeper to court if the PPC has been informed they were not driving?
And!
"we have no power to get an operator to cancel or refund any parking enforcement charges". Or translated to we are as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike, and as long as our member pays their membership money they can get away with anything they want as far as we are concerned!0
