  • Evening all

Having problems reading and posting at the mo, can't knock it though as at least full-time work should help my financial situation. Really need to get a large freezer so I can batch cook some ready meals on my days off. So far today have tifdied, made rolls for lunch and frozen them, dried a load of washing on the line (been lovely here) and am just about to do the ironing. Oh and also took DS swimming.

Islandmaid sorry to hear your sad news, RIP Bruno.

Hester hope you had a lovely day.

Bigs hugs to all who need one, sweet dreams all.

  • DS1 bought me a kindle, woo hoo, the others bought me enough vouchers to buy a cover in the colour I want & lots of books,

Hester - glad you had a good day, and got the Kindle :D I adore mine! You can get many many books for free, see here. On the Amazon website you can sign up for a daily email which tells you which books are free that day (most are a bit pants but occasionally there are some gems). I have 1500 books on mine, all free ones, although my flatmate may have acquired some through other means! :rotfl:

Hester I am glad that you had such a lovely weekend x

Went down to see the outlaws today and FIL insisted on me having a drink with him (Honey Rum which is 20% proof and supposed to be drunk as a liqueur he poured me a mixer glass full :D )DH was horrified and said I couldn't have it cos I had the dinner to cook. His Dad told him where to get off :p Needless to say I was very cheerful this afternoon:rotfl:

Happy birthday for tomorrow Hester, glad that today was a success and that you got your Kindle.

Lame Wolf....positive vibes for some spoons on their way to you.

Lou....hope that you sleep well to-night.

    Halight....lovely to see you back.

Hugs to all I have forgotten to mention and all who are in need of one.

Lamb chops, baked potato and pickled red cabbage for dinner to-day.

2 washes done and draped around house, hoovered living room and hall and dogs have been rolling around on carpet ever since... really should be done twice a day when they are inside.

Spent most of my day trying to knit myself a hat from a hank of lovely wool I bought a couple of years ago just because I liked the colour but am short, will bring it to my group in the morning and see what they advise.

Sleep well all and stay safe
