Excellent thanks for that link, i see a few options there, gourmet burger kitchen gets my vote but its up to everyone else too lol. If we park in the arena can we walk to the complex then? I think we will steer clear of hooters, i'm not even going to tell the men its there :rotfl:

GBK is my fav too, especially as we don't have one where I live!

There is no parking at the arena (i think!), there are plenty of car parks nearby, but I would avoid the NCP ones. They are v expensive and people queue for hours to come out after an event. Put 'motorpoint arena cardiff' into google maps. You'll see to the right and slightly below the main road 'Adam St', there is a car park there by The Vulcan pub. This is the one I use all the time. It's £5 all day, and there are a few machines there that take card as well as cash. If you then look to the left of the arena you'll see John Lewis, and the restaurants are mainly up the road from there.

  • Julie, I couldnt agree with you more. I usually dont have time for people like that. I have very high expectation of my friends, and cannot be bothered with someone who is likely to stab you in the back at some point. I think the only reason I will bite my tongue this time is that I am here for another 6 months, with a very small social circle and i'm afraid if I rock the boat too much I might end up completely isolated.

Bramble, how about just getting a voucher for amazon or somewhere, that you can keep for a while and use when you think of something you want or need rather than just trying to find something to spend the money on.

    Morning all!

Had a lovely time last night. Mum couldn't managed all her pizza so she gave half to us for lunch today, it will go nicely with the jacket spuds I've still got left over from last weekend's do. Dad gave us a bottle of wine to bring home with us too. Managed not to get too drunk either but it was a very late night, didn't get home to way after 1.30am!

Today is going to be a quiet day. Need to make bread and rolls today, have some veg I want to cook up and put in the freezer and there's some washing and ironing to do.

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday. Take care xxx

    Afternoon all:j:j

Well iv been to tesco. Not that many bargins today:mad: I did pick up some steak. There were loads od cheese reduced! all off the deli counter that had been cut up and wraped. Three was also quite a bit of lamb reduced, lamb chops and other cut bits. But at the time that i went there was not much off it at all. And lamb is very expencive at the moment so i left it were it was.

I paid just over £4 for a nivce joint of brisket. Iv got it cooking on a low heat in the oven now.

Still very damp here and its not warmed up much.

Hope you are all enjoying your sunday:j:j

I love sunday's I've got Wash no 3 on, and the clothes are drying nicely on the radiators.

I might ask my dad to get me a groupon getaway offer for my christmas, OH and I never go anywhere, and it would be a lovely treat for us to go somewhere for the weekend.

Stew is nearly done and will leave it on warm till OH gets home, I've snacked alot today and probably won't end up eating any of it!

Need to marinade some lamb chops for OH's dinner tomorrow and bins need to be put out. I had debating going to waitrose too see what whoopsies i could get, but not sure i feel like going outside...

I think I overdid it yesterday.:( No, not alcohol, but was on my feet for too long, and suffering the consequences today.

FMW ignore the silly woman. Sounds like she seriously needs to get over herself, tbh.:o

Hoppy Birdday Hester I'll say it today cos I never get online early, and will probably miss you tomorrow.:D

Mr LW has gone round painting bleach on the mouldy patches by the doors and windows, so the whole bungalow pongs now_pale_ Not pleasant, but it needed to be done.

I must try and find some energy to prep a carrot and an orange, ready to turn into a cake tomorrow morning (will be making Shepherd Spy for tomorrow's lunch, so want to cook both at the same time);) - anyone got a few spare spoons I could borrow?:D
