Yes I am although I have reaffirmed my belief that I hate shopping :o

I love it if I have money, and can do it, without being hampered like today, but otherwise CBA:D

I walked to work today as my car needs a new starter motor, this means I had to walk past Tesco's, they had a huge pork joint for £6.89, so I bought it. I cooked it in my Remoska when I got home, it works out cheaper that heating up the big oven.
Tomorrow we are having cottage pie, it's all prepped & ready to go, I shall heat it through in the Remoska & heat some baked beans at the same time.

Absolutely right; of course, I'm retired from work (kicked out of the Civil Service on medical grounds *rolleyes*) so I'm here the whole time.

I love weeks when I spend little or nothing on groceries; often I have to ask Mr LW to pop to Morries in Letchworth in his lunch break, and I think I'm now getting him trained to take advantage of BOGOFs and special offers, and to compare prices per unit/per 100gram or whatever, not just pack price, iyswim.:)

He was absolutely shocking when we first got together, he would chuck anything in the trolley, usually branded stuff, and never mind he was paying through the nose; nine years of me saying "I'm not paying that sort of money" is starting to rub off.:rotfl:
Same as my hubby - now after 14 years - he is as thrifty as me.

So in order to save money I've spent £130 today  bought a lovely shiny Remoska so it had better earn it's keep. I know there is a thread on OS all about them so that's my homework to read that :rotfl:

Went food shopping this morning, spent just under £50 so happy with that. Bought in addition to my usual chicken, two chicken leg pieces from Aldi for 99p. Would make a cheap meal for the four of us so will of course be layering this up in my new gadget ;)
Is there somewhere with ifo about these - how much they cost to run as opposed to an oven.....thing is I am addicted to my oven - usually full each day too.

So getting in the Christmas mood, tree is up, kids hyper (24 more days like this?:eek:) and I've used my Remoska every day since I've had it :D

Not needed to buy any new Christmas decs, my very old set of lights from Woolies worked again this year, they hang in the dining room.....can't have too many twinkly lights. See where my DS gets his ASD from :rotfl:

I have a shed load of reduced Christmas cards bought last year for friends and various family. Will hand make cards for certain family soi really need to get my butt into gear here :o

So it's lists a go go here, got some pansies bought a few weeks ago that I still haven't potted up :o not very :money: if they die.

Planning on taking kids to see Fsther Christmas tomorrow in local town centre. free of course :money: I desperately need some new knitwear so I may have to bite the bullet and actually buy some. No longer buying knitwear from Supermarket as it doesn't last, goes all bobbly (even using a razor blade can't resurrect it) and out of shape. Time to spend a bit more money to get something to last, false economy otherwise.

    Have fab weekend all :)

    Well done Bitsy

It's definitely worth investing in decent clothing as long as you are going to look after it...
  • I went to my spare room to look for some wool for a friend & found a pack of Christmas card, so one less thing to buy there.

:rotfl: I tend to buy bargains and then stash them in a safe place. So safe I can never find it again when I need to :o
