i need to declutter ds' toys bitsy. most of them have nothing wrong with them. hubbys family buy him so much that he just doesnt get to play with everything. i dont want to sell them but i dont want to get rid of them either
would like to give them to someone who will appriciate them rather than just giving them to a charity shop

Do you have a women's refuge centre in your area? They might appreciate them. Depending on the age of them maybe a toddler group?I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Never had to deal with getting rid of childrens' toys, so I may be talking rot, but would the childrens' ward at the local hossy be able to use them? Just a thought.:o
Mr LW and I both got Brown Envelopes from HMRC last week - scared the bloomin' life out of us! Once we opened them, 'twas OK, though - his was a little missive asking him if he might owe them tax!?! I mean, !!!!!!?? They should know surely, specially as he's on PAYE and has no other income than his job.
Mine was a statement saying I don't need to pay them anything (I have to do self-assessments yearly, for my sins), so that was OK after the initial panic attack at getting a Brown Envelope.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Don't get many of those brown envelopes but when they do come I always think it's the tax man writing to say we've overpaid, here's a nice big fat cheque. Ever the eternal optimist :rotfl:
Took clothes and toys to the charity shop. Go me. Trust me this IS progress as generally CS stuff sits around the house. for weeksso well done to me for getting off my butt and sorting it out within 24 hours :j
Now still have a list of things to do this week, deadline is the weekend as kids off next week so shall have too many small persons in tow.
So I have to get:
Pressie for H
small pressie for niece
Small pressie for my mum
Small pressie for DD
Chocolate presssie for two mindees
Chocolate for DS and DD for Christmas
Post off Christmas cards
Make or Buy Christmas cards for parents and H. I'd like the former option but think its likely to be the latter
Finish DSs cards, I have written on names, am praying DS will be willing to write on his name on them all. Like I said eternal optimist :rotfl:
Sadly only one of these errands requires no money. ho hum......I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

I have this vision of Bitsy wandering through town with a line of littl'uns following along, Pied Piper style.:rotfl:
I'll get my coat.......:D
Well two to three trailing behind whilst DS is streets ahead :rotfl:
Spent £30 in Sainsbugs on Xmas cards, some chocolate bits for kids and a top up present for DD. So not a fat lot basically <rolls eyes>
Om a mission to get things bought and finished tomorrow, then starts the wrapping <sigh>I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
