Welcome to the incredible extending bench Hester
So what are plans for today. Well DD wants to do some baking, good job as the naughty but nice Tupperware is empty!
I have the money to buy my Remoska so do I go down to the store and pay for parking etc but use the cash I have or do it all online and then have to go up to the bank and pay the cash in. Either way it means a trip out.......decisions decisions.
Need to get back into the routine of making lists, I find it helps keep me focused on what needs to be done rather than sitting here looking rather like the lights are on but no one is home :rotfl:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Not bought Remoska yet, will go down on Monday afternoon and combine it with a wee Christmas shopping trip. Might as well justify the cost of parking.
h wants to look at buying another suit. Thankfully one from Matalan or somewhere not too eye wateringly expensive. His other suit trousers need a new zip and pockets have holes in the,. Whereas in the past I'd consign these to the circular file i am going to attempt at a repair. I am assuming suits are like hang bags for women, you can never have too many
Good news that woman who knocked H off his motorbike has admitted liability so he can put in motion getting bike repaired and claiming for stuff that got damaged when he came off it. At least he won't be bearing the brunt of a claim on his insurance :T
Just the usual plodding today, meltdown central tonight after we got in from school. All over a short sleeved t shirt. I am not putting the heating on just so he can wear a summer shirt
Where has my happy boy gone?
however less than 5 weeks til income drops, still stashing as much as I can while i can. DLA form has come through so want to get that written up and sent off ASAP.
Off to see H's relatives on Saturday, a trip down the motorway. Keep thinking about the cost of petrol:o but it has been probably over a year since we saw them last so needs to be done.
Right time to sheep dip the kids and then go off to tap class. I will not sit on my 'arris and therefore not want to step back out the doorI love these dark nights but truth be told only on nights I don't actually have to go out anywhere :rotfl:

Today I got £1.50 off my petrol, £2 of xmas drinks, and £5 off an ALDI shop, all down to using vouchers
:D
BITSY, ASDA usually has good suits for men, at a reasonable price:D:D"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Morning all
I'm trying to make plans, I can retire in 18 months & though I don't want to I'd like to be ready just in case so that I can earn some money at/from home. I'm racking my brains but so far I'm not coming up with much apart from dog sitting. Fingers crossed that inspiration strikes soon.

:rotfl::rotfl: thanks for the offer MG. I know you're a girl alright
I have a very handy mother who can do zips so feel a lesson coming on. You know how they say teach a man to fish.....well it's about time I learned as much as I can while my mum is around
Hester If memory serves your eyesight is slowly getting worse so I assume close work maybe not an option, say teaching sewing or ironing. Not suggesting you can't do these things now but in future no point relying on something that you cannot maintain. Joking apart why not look into being a dog walker or someone who can travel to clients homes to look after their pets. There is one woman in my area and I think she gets paid £200 a month to give a dog a walk each day. Worth exploring I'd say along with the dog sitting. I don't suppose you'd want to go down the route of babysitting given all your grandkids......I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Bitsy glad that wretched woman has admitted liability. How is your DH, btw? Not got any lingering injuries from the incident, I hope.
Dilly Doglet has arrived for her stay, and I've been informed that Sidney the Schnauzer wants to come for 12 days in December.:T I get a little money from doing this; but tbh, the main thing is the canine company.
Just off to grab the mobility buggy and take Dilly for a wee trundle before it drops dark, now.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
His butt is still bruised and tender to the touch, as is his elbow. Other than those minor niggles he's fine thanks for asking LW.
My poor watch I thought had stopped working. hubby took it to my favourite little shop in Brum that does shoe repairs etc. Not the batterywatch cost £75 which I suppose by some standards is not so expensive but it was a birthday pressie and has sentimental value to me. Cue me thinking it will cost loads of money to get it repaired via John Lewis where it was bought. Thankfully lovely man managed to get it working all for the bargainous price of £2.50 :T:T
Other than that n major MSEing going on, not been the day for it so I curled up on the sofa all afternoon watching a DVD. Least I didnt spend any moneyI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

how did the mindees take the news about drop in hrs?"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0

OK I suppose. They've all been a bit stressed because childcare for the school is in very short supply but I HAVE to put DS and my family first. Feel terribly guilty as I hate letting people down or mucking them about BUT I did give them 7 weeks notice which is 3 more than contract states so I am trying to be fair.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
