Carpet is laid. Looks very nice. Whether it will stay clean is another matter
Declutterig will continue over the course of next week, my bedsde cabinet, my drawer under the bed and the wardrobe. Not looking forward to this....why is it with decluttering you end up making even more of a mess than before you started
I suppose on the plus side it means I am not spending any money :o
My FIL gave H some money so rather than squander it I banked it to put towards our holiday :j Must see about getting that time off booked and organised.......well for H anyway.

Had a letter from DWP re DLA claim. They cant make a decision without more information. They wan to know what school provide for him. It would appear that they are subsequently writing to school so not sure what they are asking me for. I must sort that out tomorrow, along with getting a photocopy of DSs SALT assessment he apparently had last July  I know they've had the wrong telephone number but does it really take 6 months to post a copy of a report. Anyway it backs up my claims of DS being easily distracted.........have his review in a few weeks with SENCO so I may raise the issue of getting him statemented.

    So life plods on........

Is Friday 13th unlucky? For some but not here at Chez Bitsy.
H was offered a dishwasher by work. An office is closing and the dishwasher was used to clean the office cups.
Now Ive never been bothered enough by washing up to need to buy one but if they re offering it free? Yes please. Originally plans were to shift the washing machine to the garage and put the dishwasher in its place. However due to Barratts p!ss poor house design that would involve lots of complicated pipes, outside drain digging (because there isn't one) and quite frankly too much trouble for one blooming dishwasher. There is a possibility we could sacrifice the cupboard where the kenwood mixer and other assorted crap lives. Which means I need to find a home for the mixer and the stuff from the MAN DRAWER :rotfl:
An unprompted but not entirely unnecessary kitchen cupboard declutter looms. I only hope the washing machine will fit in the only space in the house that can house it. Otherwise I shall be talking to H about getting a new kitchen instead (not entirely unwanted, kitchen is about 7 years old and came from B&Q. Never again. It's rubbish, drawers break, door fronts don't sit uniform etc etc)

Heres hope for the first, cheaper and less disruptive option.

new kitchen can be done cheap if H is able to fit it himself or you know of someone who can. we came up with a plan of what we wanted and then shopped around for the cheapeast prices. cupboards and doors came from wickes and the worktop came from b&q along with th e wall tiles and floor tiles...

My dad fitted this kitchen. Waiting for him to come round and consult on which cupboard we can sacrifice, there is a possible place under the sink but need to see if the other half of the cupboard can be cannabilised ;)

Ooh, thanks for that bit of info; I keep putting it off (for about 7 years thus far:D) but eventually, one day, manana, I shall have to get the kitchen re-done. If Bee and Screw-it are that bad, we'll bypass looking at their stuff.;)

To be fair the actual base units are great, really strong on sturdy. Just the rest of it thats crap <rollseyes>

So plan of action for fitting DW has been made. Involves the purchase of a single base unit as we will be removing a double one. £40 from Wikes isn't too bad a price to pay for a DW.

Been baking up a storm this morning, used the remoska which Ive been neglectful with to cook our chicken for tea. About to use it for the spuds and veggies :)

<sigh> those immortal words "I hope you don't mind......." cue the whipping out of yet another purchase. Yet another DVD. I "know" its only £3 but its the second one in as many weeks. eventually they all mount up these small amounts. he's bought more stuff for smoothies from the supermarket so god knows how much he's spent in there..........sometimes I wish I could just b*gger off and spend money without worrying.......

so operation dishwasher commences today. Its cost £60 for a single base uniit (to replace the double we are moving to make space). and I also spent £70 on a new kitchen tap as the carp one from b and q was peeling the chrome off it  My dad said he would rather do all the replacing in one go.......oh well its only money.

Free listing on ebay this weekend. Which means I need to make vast inroads into the two bankers boxes of stuff in our bedroom and some toys in DS's room. I am no longer a fan of ebay but if its free might as well stick it on. Will need lots and lots of coffee to get through the most tedious job in the world.......
