    A great shop at T this morming!:j
Lots of wine, the 3for £12 ones. Lindemanns Sydney Cove worked out at about £13- 56 for 6.

I got also a £10 meal deal which included a wine for £10-99 so 25% off that bottle plus using a £1 off chilled meals coupon brought the meal deal down to £6-25. But best of all the deal discount didn't kick in so I got DTD of £24-28!:j:j
I got the green veg, smoked haddock risotto, belgian choc puds and the red Corbierre wine.

    Glade candles £4.00 B1G2F

Comfort pure x 5. Used 5 75p off coupons and the £1 coupon when spending £5 on household products, so the 5 comforts cost 25p!:j:j:j

I could never understand when I was young why my Dad said no more dogs as he was the one who had to take them to the vets when their time was up. But after having to take 3 to be put down after illness and one killed by another dog when I had him on the lead, I have to say that I know what he meant. However, this would never stop me having another dog or dogs. If I had done that in the past, I would never have shared my life with the later dogs and had the great memories I have of them

I am the same with my cats, to date I've had to take five to be put down and one died in the animal hospital without me there (the guilt was awful), my cat Lady went on 6th Jan this year after three months with renal failure, she defied all odds to survive a big op so I gave her every assistance to keep going as long as she had a good life and she kept doing so much better than expected.

Unfortunately there comes a time, when you know an animal this well (I'd had her for 10 of her approx. 16 years), that you know the time has come, and I'm still not over it.

When my first two cats went within a year of each other, it upset me so much my mum banned me from any more cats as she couldn't bear to see me so broken-hearted, I agreed as I didn't want to go through it again either, she made up for it by getting me cat ornaments/pictures etc, plus we had a dog so at least there was animal company in the house.

Then in 2001 when she got ill, she changed her mind and we adopted 4 cats from RSPCA in Bath, Lady was one and the only remaining one is Rumple, I also adopted 2 in 2005 and have Gunther remaining from that. I know what you mean when you said you'll never stop getting dogs, I'm the same with cats, it's so so painful saying goodbye but the love (not to mention entertainment) you get in the preceeding years makes it all worth it xxx

    Sorry, bit OT there!

  • I bought the heros tonight (was all I could find) but didnt twig the different size of the tins. The ones I bought were 800g and cost £10 and the ones in the price drop leaflet are 950g and £5. After being refused DTD on the weight discrepancy, I made it plain to the CS girl that I thought Tesco were out to con customers (I know thats blunt and even inflamatory, but I can't see how offering quietly in a brochure a bigger product to the one on the shelves at twice the price can be anything but a con!!!) and suggested she reached in the till and refunded my money as I'd be taking my business elsewhere.

I know we exploit glitches but !!!!!! what planet do Tesco actually think their customers reside on?

The old saying however suggests, not getting mad but getting even. Will let you know if I succeeded on that score tomorrow ;)

    nite all :)

Ooooooh, I just got a lovely JTD voucher for £20! :D:D
