I bought the heros tonight (was all I could find) but didnt twig the different size of the tins. The ones I bought were 800g and cost £10 and the ones in the price drop leaflet are 950g and £5. After being refused DTD on the weight discrepancy, I made it plain to the CS girl that I thought Tesco were out to con customers (I know thats blunt and even inflamatory, but I can't see how offering quietly in a brochure a bigger product to the one on the shelves at twice the price can be anything but a con!!!) and suggested she reached in the till and refunded my money as I'd be taking my business elsewhere.

I know we exploit glitches but !!!!!! what planet do Tesco actually think their customers reside on?

The old saying however suggests, not getting mad but getting even. Will let you know if I succeeded on that score tomorrow ;)

    nite all :)

Good point I need to check my tin, thats the one thing I didn't check the size of, I must be slipping

    codomiu vintage rose cava
    original price £13.99 x 6 = £83.94
    half price £6.99 x 6 = £41.94
    less 25% off £83.94 (original price)= £21.00 ish !!

    = £41.94
    - £21.00 = £20.94 for 6 x bottles of £13.99 Cava ready for christmas

there are lots of other wines in the price drop leaflet on page 24 that are half price that this well also work on
also on the 3 for £12 and 2 for £10 offers in store

buy in quantity's of 6 bottles - for extra 25 % off deal to work :santa2::santa2::santa2::santa2::santa2::santa2::santa2::santa2:

A true glitch that doesn't involve going to the CS desk? I think I'll try this ... want to lie under the CS radar for a while. Gonna get some on the 3 for £12 offer and try to use a JTD voucher

A sign by the tills says "In the unlikely event we overcharge you, we let you keep the item & give you a refund". I pointed this out to him and he said "fair enough" instructs the SA to sign my receipt and then he walks off.

SA says she can't issue refunds at night & I would have too go back in daytime. SHe signs receipt stating refund due, gives it me back with the choccys and that was it.

The sign doesn't say "but we only give the refunds at a certain time of day", why should you have to go all the way back

Saw that myself and was thinking the same lol

Heads up for the program at 8pm on Channel 4 The Ultimate Guide to Penny Pinching..

Got to be worth a watch :D:D

I just have a feeling I'll be throwing things at the television shouting NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The cynical part of me wonders if she is trying for a book deal or a job at Tesco in an advisory position.

The post in question is now deleted thankfully.

Well next time, please read comments properly instead of making accusations as I didn't even post about JTD vouchers! You are obviously accusing the wrong person. The last thing I posted about was in response to meerkat and locarr about the honey nut shreddies voucher!

Damn I should have gone for wine on the way to work, anyone know how long this offer lasted last time before they clicked on and stopped it?

    Thanks in advance.

It will end Saturday night by the look of it as that is when the 2 for £12 deals etc end.

Hi bensonsmum, just wondered whether you have actually tried this because last time this glitch was working on the 3 for £12 bottles but not on the half price offers (it was only taking 25% off the already reduced price). Really hope you are going to say you have as that would be brilliant. TIA
