On the phone to HO right now and they wont honour DTD for the Heroes what do I say.
Just tell them the facts.
If you get the guff about selected stores - did you pick the mag up in that store, then it must be selected
If they mutter about what did SEL say, tell them you consider what is in the boolet to be as good as a SEL.
Good luck be firm but slightly naive
Sorry didn't realise you were already on the phone.
What reasons did they give for refusing ?0 -
You could mutter something about false advertising and trading standards and sorry I didn't get your name and surname and your supervisors name too please xxNo. 16 in HCCSC:jFull Time Uni Student & Glitcher :j

But they don't take 25% off the ORIGINAL price when they are 50% off, its just 25% off the new price. It only works for double discounting when there is a multi-buy offer running at the same time as 25% off 6 bottles.
Ie. If a wine is originally £13.99, now £6.99 it will scan at £6.99 NOT £13.99 and deduct 50% when subtotaled.
I should add though that we often buy Codorniu Vintage Cava when it is on offer at £6.99 as it very close to a good Champagne (Veuve Clicquot)- if you served it up on Christmas Day, I very much doubt guests would notice the difference (Rose variety is slightly sweeter, we buy the normal one). At £5.24 a bottle, after 25% it is a very good buy.
If you are looking for champagne, my local had Tattinger at £19.99 yesterday. If that price has held, then you are looking at a quality champagne for only £15. Even if you only want one bottle, you can add the mini bottles and get a bargain.
All of the '50% off' bottles are often sold at the reduced prices, so don't take too much notice of the original price.0 -
Does anyone know if the Holyhead store is ok? Does it have an instore scanner, etc?
We are going on a luxurious break in Anglesey soon and this is our nearest one although over 10 miles away!
I'm gonna hate not having it within an easy distance. We will be needing to top up our groceries though at some point whilst away.:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

It definitely won't work bensonsmum, we buy that cava quite a lot and when it has been on the 25% offer before it definitely only takes 25% off the £6.99. If it was under £4 a bottle I would have a garage full, its lovely!0 -
Can u go through ss?
Lovesaddy
from what other people have been saying it might not work out as low as i thought as the till takes 25% off the price the bottle is seen at going through the till so it would mean that
6 x cava @ £6.99 = £41.94
less 25% £10.50 ish
total cost = £31.50ish for six bottles of £13.99 cava
obviously not as good as thought but still a good price if you like it,
really sorry to have dissapointed you:(:(:(

For those of that can't afford 6 big bottles remember you can mix offer with the little bottles. Just make sure you get the right amount of those for their offer to overlap. Also anyone new to the glitch another thing to remember is you have to buy minimum of 6 bottles for the 25% to work not in multiples of 6. I know it's a simple thing but I know I did think once you had to buy 6, 12 or 18 and had not realised I could just buy 7, handy with getting 2 of the 3 for £12 offers and a nice bottle of champagne!0
