You have paid a scam, like all scammers they come back for more money, they will come back for more money AGAIN + AGAIN until you stop paying them, this is what these scammers do.
No court in this land will enforce such rubbish.
Please take good advice when given, everything in those letters is BULL$hit, if need be find a friend or relative to help you stop the scam.
Paying private Parking tickets does not "make them go away" they come back for more money.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

all paid for parking has plenty of signs to indicate this, if they go to court, they will win.
The panto season is almost upon us again, so the appropriate (and accurate) response has to be :-
'Oh no they won't'
@OP - for goodness sake listen to and accept the good solid advice you have been given on both your threads.0 -

Whilst "all paid-for parking" areas may have "plenty of signs" the crucial question, dear Dave101, is whether the OP was capable of entering into a contract as a consequence of what the signs displayed.
Presumably, the "degree" was not in law nor, it would seem, anything that required an ability to think critically. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

Dear all
A while ago I posted this thread:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3472061
Basically my wife parked in a Manchester shopping centre and assumed the parking was free - a quick trip to the shops later and she'd been ticketed by a private company (Excel).
After a bit of umming and aahing I paid off the INVOICE - £60 - but was paid late.
Subsequently we received letters from the company invoicing us for a further £40.
Now I thought it was a bit ridiculous and £60 is a adequate payment for a mistake made on our park - which lost the car park owner £1 is parking payment (how much the stay would have cost).
Since then we have had repeated letters from the company which I ignored based on the advice of this forum (thanks!).
Last week I received a letter from Roxburghe debt collectors asking for £82.
They say 'we would suggest that you refer to the Civil Procedure Rules part 31 - parts 31.16, 31.17.
I have ignored and this morning got a letter from Graham White Solicitors with a 'Notice of Intended Litigation' before proceedings are issued in the County Court.
They write any judgement registered against you oculd seriously affect your chances of obtaining credit in the future and in the event of a Judgement Order not being adhered to, we may seek a warrant of execution. This would allow a Bailiff to attend at your address and remove goods.
I would be grateful for advice on what to do next.
My particular predicament is that I paid £60 originally so did I some way accept that the INVOICE was fair.
Thanks v much
If you are that worried and that scared of a few threatening letters which mean absolutely nothing whatsoever from fake " solicitors" dropping through your letter box, just pay it.
Bear in mind when you do pay it, like you already have done, you are perpetuating their scam, yes a SCAM, more and more so they can continue hassling more and more people who have not got the cojones to just stand up to bully's.
If you took the time to read through hundreds of similar threads on here you would realise you are being scammed.
If you bothered to use Google, again you would see it is a scam. Go on, just Google private parking tickets.
If you are going to write to them do what Private Eye did and write this:
Dear Sirs
I refer you to the reply given in the case of Arkell v. Pressdram, 1971.
Yours etc;
Google that and see what their response was to silly little solicitor's letters.
Just forget about the bloody thing and get on with your life.0 -
Hello all
thank you for the continued reassurance.
What happens at after the 'final solicitors letter'?
Do they just stop?0 -
Not necessarily. Sometimes you'll get a final final solicitor's letter and then a genuinely totally final final letter. Rest assured you are close to the end. You know that when you have another letter after the notice of intended litigation that all of their threats are empty. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

Another ploy is to write back to them thus:-
Dear Mr. Sobell ,
Attached is a letter I received on (put in your own date),
I feel that you should be aware some xxxhole is signing your name to stupid letters.
Yours etc.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Up until you get a county court summons and are stood in front of a judge, all threatening letters and demands can safely be ignored. They will send you countless amounts of various threatening letters to try and scare you into coughing up (moreso if you have made some form of a payment as your seen as an easy target), the advice would be to bin the letters and worry about it ONLY when you get a summons and not until.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
