Have they re-assessed your DD over the next six months, I suspect they have so that you will have paid for your energy at the end of winter, this could well be the reason for the hike IMO.
it just says your new payment is £103 form x date, and account balance it £200 credit.i think your right but it just seams a big jump.0 -
worked out my actual usage which is
gas= from jan to nov 11869 kw
electric = from jan to nov 2098 kw
they predicted that i would use 2914 electric and 12138 of gas.
Have you got an explanation yet why the electric "prediction" is massively different from your "actual"?
In a gas heated house the electric will not massively increase in winter but if the "prediction" is wrong it will significantly affect the payment calculation.0 -
Hi tay14,
That does seem like quite a large jump! Especially if you've been in credit with us.
Do you want to send your details to forumresponse@npower.com and I'll take a look and see what's going on?
Best wishes

Sally, so many customers are posting on here about huge hikes in their direct debits, I would be interested to know if npower aim to have customers energy use paid off by the end of winter, i.e., my DD jumped from £128 to £151 in August which was before the price rise. It was very confusing as it was calculated over 6 months rather than 12.0
