    Your welcome........

if it says actual, thats because the reading has been taken.

For your payment to go up that much, i would be certain you have to be in debit.

I wouldnt see myself as a keyboard warrior, but thanks for that.... go consumer warrior......

When you pay monthly, the bill is still every 3 or 6 months, so depending on when the statement arrives, you will always be in credit.

But how much are you in credit? At this time of year your credit should be at it's highest, as the peak heating demands months are yet to come. You won't get through the winter months on just £52pm.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

In a house with gas CH and DHW, about 80% of your annual gas consumption will be over the coldest 3 months.

Gas is also more expensive during the winter months so you should be well and truly in credit before the winter. Npower also work on 6 monthly bills for DD so the credit on the account always looks excessive before a bill.

We cannot change the way you think, but I do think you are looking at it all incorrectly (or without understanding) as macman mentions your greatest consumption will be between November and March , alst December my bill was £180 for a month, but in July £40, my leccy is in credit but I would expect it to be, after the winter bill it maybe in credit but only by a few £ss.

my be it i don't understand the ins and outs off it ,iam sure it will become all clear when i speak to them,It just seams a big jump for a small, new, well insulted house. We have all ways been well in credit before the winter months then just in credit after ,then obviously you build up your credit over the summer months to cover the winter.

Have they re-assessed your DD over the next six months, I suspect they have so that you will have paid for your energy at the end of winter, this could well be the reason for the hike IMO.
