Hiya all,
Wondering if one of you ABH vets could let me know what the time frame was like for your application. Everything went lightning fast for me at first - applied, went through the prescreen process, got accepted and signed the NDA all within a span of two days. Unfortunately, since signing the NDA over a week ago I haven't heard a thing. I've sent two follow-up emails and haven't gotten any replies.
Is this kind of time frame normal for ABH? With the way everything was going, I expected to be able to start the training process rather soon after signing the NDA. I even declined another job offer because I was expecting to have this. Thoughts?0 -
If you signed the NDA a little late you might have missed the chance. I know, it's stupid, you signed a contract so you must be good, right? Guess again. Appen accepts only a handful of people for each recruitment period, and if they signed the NDA before you (as is often the case in more popular markets) then you missed out. Ofcourse, it's also possible you need to wait a little while longer - the whole process from starting the application to actually getting into production is 2-3 months. Never *ever* turn down other jobs until you're 100% sure you're in production.
Appen WES is not an employer-employee contract and should not be treated as such.0 -
Thanks for the info, Maktina. I signed the NDA about half an hour after I received it, so I'm a bit skeptical as to that being the cause. Hopefully I just need to wait a bit longer.
(Any other experiences would still be greatly appreciated!)0 -

Thanks Boycieboy! Looks like patience was the answer - I just did finally get an email regarding a scheduled start date for the qualification process. A bit disconcerting when they don't answer emails, but all is well now.
For anyone else who ends up in this situation and is looking for information: in my case, it took about a week and a half between signing the NDA and getting scheduled for the qualification process.0 -
Another day. Another error0

For those asking if it's normal to see nothing on the report...I don't think so. It was normal for me to not see any updates for awhile, though.♥ Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough. ♥ :beer:0
