OK I want and need to join in but having read the list it sounds like a full spring clean:o Also what are the dailies and how on earth do I find the time when I work 3 days a week:confused:

Hi, this is why the thread arranged like this is so much more useful to us w***ers :D I w*** 2 days, and my home goes to pot then. I do what I can in the house, plan to eat HM meals from the freezer, leave a list for the small penguins to do between them coming in from school, and me getting in, then catch up on my days off.

Do what you can from Moggins' list, but don't worry about what you can't. Remember, it will all come around again.

I've only been doing this for 6 months, and it's amazing how quickly everything becomes so much easier.

*Dailies* are the jobs that you need to do every day. My list includes, post, beds, hoover, pots, and chooks.

not funny i know but it's the way she tells em

i just had an experiment here - exdh came over for the ENT appointment which was actually some hours ago and seems to have invited himself for the eveining. knowing that he was going to go round the pub at some point to watch footie me and the dfamily have been running a book on how long it will be before he mentions his dinner which was noticably not being cooked while i have been sititng at the computer. Well he left the house at 7.30 saying that he would get himself something while he's out shall he? harumph! He is supposed to be staying a couple of times a week but seems to have made himself very much at home ta! I wouldn't mind but he got paid on friday and hasn't contributed anything much beyond a couple of bottles of wine that i wouldn't have bought anyway. 21yo dd is out of work at the moment and not contributing even housework so i've bl**dy well waited for her to go out too before making dinner for me and 10yo dd - small revenge for me coming home early from work last week and finding the heating on at 30 degrees cos she's finding it a bit chilly in her vest top, shorts and no shoes.
my dsis won the bet btw

    Good evening,

Done living room, dusted, took voile curtains down, in WM now,

I didn't do any extra cleaning today because I bought a new "toy" a Kenwood mixer/foodprocessor/blender/citrus press so I made bread, pastry (for chicken and leek pie) and sliced leeks in the new processor...

Work tomorrow and clothes and packed lunch prepared for that. I so love not having a backlog of ironing and a clean kitchen..:j

Just got home from my line dancing class, and I'll 'abuse' you with a little moan...

When I left for work this morning the living room was a dream! It was bonny, clean and tidy!
When I got back in at 5:45 I found: 2 teenagers watching telly. Their feet on my coffee table. Their shoes on the floor somewhere, bags wandering through the room, a coat that seemed to have landed on the table. DH busy in the kitchen cooking.. an 8 yrs old doing 'art work' on the dining table. (see: lots of bits of paper scattered everwhere!)

Okay.. I made them do a quick tidy up while I went in the shower. We had our tea, it was lovely. After tea, the table got cleared, I had time for 1 cup of coffee before going off to line dance class.

I just got in, 9:45. I found: DH sitting in his chair, his feet on the coffee table watching telly. 1 teenager sitting on the couch, his feet on the coffee table watching telly. 2 yr old's toy scattered around the room. (baby is in bed so why are the toys still out???) and what's making me want to scream??
A kitchen exactly the way it was when I left. Dirty dishes EVERYWHERE!!

And this morning it had looked SOOO good!!

But I didn't go off on them.. I just took off my coat and boots.. loaded the DW, swiped the kitchen, picked up baby's toys, had quick all around pick up and THEN sat down with a glass of wine to see what's happening here.

Honestly, it's almost enough to make me want to give up! What in the blazing hellfire's am I doing it for??

    *sniff*

Well my major achievement today was getting through it. another night of about 5 hours sleep. Hopefully DD1 will sleep allnight so I can catch up.

I have done the ironing - I said I would do an hours worth but had reached the end of the basket after 40 mins (including DH work shirts) so pleased with that. Lounge just got a quick flick with the hoover and duster, kitchen swish and swipe. Tesco order was delivered and put away too.

I have freecycled 2 more things one of which should be collected tomorrow (DDs hamster cage - RIP princess Fiona!!!) She passed away on saturday and neither of the girls have noticed the cage is missing. Mind you when DD2 hamster died back in the summer it was about 3 months later that DD1 commented on it! LOL they do make me laugh sometimes - well more a hysterical whinning noise really.

Have sold the jungle climber on ebay so waiting for the lady to contact me about collecting it - and more importantly giving me my pennies!

Good news from work - solicitors have been instructed on our sale, our buyer even phoned us direct to let us know.

Think I am gonna go to bed as sky has just switched itself off and I cannot be bother to reset it. I will think about tomorrows list depending upon sleep tonight.

I have noticed that because most of the hotspots etc have been done that I seem to be ontop of everything, this is making me feel like I have done nothing - is anyone else finding this?

:rotfl: Aye, and this is the man that came home from work last week to a wonderful clean kitchen and living room and asked me dead serious like if my computer had crashed or anything!

    grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

The thing is, I didn't tell them about you. I've been there before see, going off about how it's going to change, and how things will be different from now on and all... and I've always failed. Given up after a week or so. Or just plain got bored of it, or got stuck into my writing again which made me spend too many hours behind my computer. So to avoid the: "yeah yeah, I'll bet" remarks I just know are around the corner, I'm not telling anybody anything!
I'm just doing my thing and hope they catch on.

    Obviously they haven't yet.
    But they will..

    well,

    they might..

Becca, someone posted on the previous thread about hiding things in black bags until asked for - you should maybe try it so see if it makes a difference.
