Well DON'T make the mistake I did yesterday.
Just inside the door, in the megabargains bit were huge boxes of Milka chocs. The premium (like Milk Tray, All Gold) style ones.
Really big boxes - was £3.99 now £1.99

Picked one up cos I adore Milka and it's really hard to get in the UK.

What a con! It's all packaging inside.
You get one tray with 23 small chocolates.. and they're all pretty much the same nougat/choc mix.

Very poor. Glad I only got one pack.

We bought a HB metal detector last year too. It's fab! The only problem I found was that I needed a very small screw driver to insert the battery.

Had a lovely expedition to the main HomeBargains by CarCraft on the East Lancs Road, well worth a visit if you live in the North West as out of all those I have visited this has by far the best offers (presumably cos their Head Office is based there.)

    Anyway
they had loads of Leapsters for £39.99
A5 Quiz books on different subjects -would suit young teens RRP £3.99 for £0.39
Llind small dark chocolate boxes £0.39
    Fuzzyfelts £2.99
Tesco A5 notebook with flourescent cover £0.17
    Fireman Sam hoopla £2.99
Loads of cheap Cadburys chocolate - 4 for £1.00
Loads of Pirates of the Caribbean stuff.

Fabulous Megabloks wooden farm set with wooden animals RRP £29.99 for £9.99. This would be a great present for young child, looked really expensive looking. In a good carry case as well.

    Unfortunately can't remember anything else

i thought this store should have the best range but personally that's not my experience.
i can't speak for north liverpool but wavertree road takes some beating in the south and stocks more IMHO than the HQ one
sometimes when you are after something that you know they've stocked in the past you have to go round a multitude of stores to find it and there's no rhyme or reason to it.
a poor store is the one behind the richmond pub on church road wavertree/allerton.... you can play the game "how much is this ?" as they don't seem bothered about what goes where .
