In Bradford today they had three Disney stories with musical magic wand for 99p I think the rrp was around £5.99. Got one for my grand-daughter (age 3). They also had a few Fisher Price things for babies at half price."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

From the packaging on what is left of a not-toblerone -
Simply Swiss
Orange Milk Chocolate
with a Honey Nougat
Orange and cream cardboard packet. The ends look orange, but it's the colour of the packet not the wrapper, that's actually silver coloured.
7" x 1.5" x 0.9"
Our store also had some similar in dark chocolate, haven't tried those yet0 -
i found them right at the new offers end of the aisle, next to boxes of roses and like, if that helps?0

It seemed clear to me that the poster meant strawberry scented, and yes- antibacterial products are clearly preferable to bacteria (antibiotics being one example) - antibacterial gel is an occasional godsend, especially when travelling.
Thanks wendy, yes i did indeed mean strawberry scented as i'm sure most pepole would have been able to work out.
Says on the bottle, kills 99.99% of germs within 15 seconds, these are brilliant, especially for travelling like you pointed out !!0 -
Unfortunately without 99.999999% of the quadrillion bacteria that live inside each and every one of use we would all die.
Most of all the side effects from taking antibiotics is that they kill bacteria that we rely on to survive.
This stuff could seriously be very bad for you if ingested.
Well as this is called 'Hand Sanitizer' it's pretty obvious it is for Hands and not to be drank. Also as it is for kids, i'm sure they would be supervised when using it. I would much prefer my little boy to have clean germ-free hands than to go around with them covered in bacteria !!!0 -
Don't wanna get into a debate about the rights & wrongs of hand gel, but anyone who has bought it, please check the label.
Most of these products use alcohol as well as surfectants to kill germs. I *do* use hand gel, and sometimes use it on my 5yo. I always stress to him the importance of NOT licking it!!! I have heard quite a few stories of LOs getting 'drunk' off these products, but often the carers don't realise what the problem is and end up in casualty for many worrying hours with the little tykes.
A strawberry-scented product might make kids more tempted to lick it, so please fellow parents, have a check of the label. If I see any in my HB I will have a look myself..0 -
Any Spanish money savers out there?
I have seen Turron on offer recently, today it had a picture of whiskey on the box, in another store i bought one with sugar-free white chocolate with dark-choc covered hazelnuts stuck to it.
they cost 29p and 39p respectively!
my friend, who lived in spain for years, says this is a bargain price. i don't like sugar-free chocolate but the hazelnuts are nice on the top. i have also tried a marzipan/almond one, if you see that it is delicious.0 -
Lots of Sainburys staionary instore at silly prices. I got a pack of 24 C4 Manilla brown envelopes for 10p, a 100 sheet Revive writing pad for 12p and a pack of 25 luxury cream envelopes for about 20p. They also had loads of the 10p reporters spiral bound notebooks.0

In Rhyl yesterday they had bottles of Tropicana Original orange juice (275ml) for 19p a bottle, expiry 10/08. I managed to get the last 3 bottles on the shelf.Hopeless by name, hopeless by nature.0
