Stockton store had some spray on tan kits which looked professional £3.99 amd there was a man at the tills buing about 20 shavers, didn't get a proper look

They might have been the Wilkinson Sword Quatro (quad blade) razors I saw in the Whitley Bay branch on Sunday (@£1.99)

Excellent price compared to Tesco, Asda et al; alas only one refill is supplied! so i gave it a wide birth... (...maybe good for that special occasion when you want to be extra-smooth!)

In Huddersfield HB today I saw some very basic booster seats (for a car) in black for £5; I also noticed some outdoor garden games, such as lawn darts, draughts (£6) and chess (£12),
There was a pop up travel play gym for less than £10- maybe £7 or so? Ideal if you have a small baby and little spare cash!

In the early days they were called "Home and Bargain" (certainly in and around the North West anyway). The "and" was officially dropped a few years back but personally I'll drop the "and" sometime never ;)

For anyone in the Bishop Auckland area.
HB has competition. B&M has opened up in Aldi's old store.
Lots of stock is the same, some prices are better, some not.
Best bit is that they are licenced.
Merrydown cider £1.49/bottle, £2.19 in Morrisons.
Lindt choc 100g bars for 49p (milk and/or dark)

We have a B & M nearby in Scunthorpe (I think B & M stands for Bargain Madness). They do have very similar prices to Home Bargains although they sell chilles foods aswell. A lot of Home Bargains are licensed aswell (although not all of them). HB have been selling Quinns (I think its alcoholic fruit juice or something) for 49p as post above or a 4 pack for £1.99. This is quite expensive in most shops.

I believe that they are trying to open 20 stores a year and are spreading hopefully down south.

And yes quinns is lovely with lots of ice. Shame the dates where not longer than june on the 4 packs I saw a few weeks ago while in brum.

done a search, cant find this posted, in my local quality save they have a stack of 'foodsaver' containers, they come in packs of 5 which are 59p each per pack. they are quite thin-almost like takeaway containers really- but they (apparently!) are dishwasher, freezer and microwave save. so quite a good purchase if , like me you are freezing herbs and leftovers and babyfood etc and stacks of stuff all the time! my freezer looks v orgainsed now!
