Middlesbrough had some large (about 12" tall) Dr Who Cyberman figures for £5.99, they usually retail for about £17-£18, pretty good stocking filler or birthday present for any young Dr Who fans.
oops apologies to Spuds who spotted them first! Ah well, if you can get to Middlesbrough they had quite a few yesterday, you may be lucky!I'm an MSE winner!
2x tickets to the o2 Wireless Festival :j
Summer Sports Set - trampoline, swingball and paddling pool worth £100 :T0 -
No problem - only saw them in Stretford, they weren't in the Sale shop. However, the same thing is £4.99 at Argos at the moment - posted elsewhere on MSE I think. Annoyingly, I could have saved a pound.

I am going to try to keep out of HB - I go in for batteries and end up spending £15. I have bags of stuff in the wardrobe that I am keeping for Christmas/birthdays. It's good in a way beacuse when it was my youngest's birthday the other week I didn't have to buy anything, just fished out the bags from upstairs, so you are not faced with a big expense in one go. But...my house is full of stuff we don't need, all bought because it was a bargain. There was a tv show last week called 'Beat It' about a young woman (in Manchester) addicted to shopping at Asda because of the bargains. It was a bit too much like me. My house is really cluttered and we need less stuff not more. Wonder if I can go all next week without going to Home Bargains?0 -
Re the 12" Cybermen..
The £4.99 ones @ Argos are Cyber Leaders.
The ones at HB are mostly Cybermen, though if you have a good root through, you may find Cyber Controllers in the wrong box (as I did the other day). Here's a little description of them..
Cybermen are just that - standard Cybermen.
Cybermen version ii (this has a Gun Arm) - currently selling for £6.99 @ Amazon
Cyber Leaders have a removable chest piece and come with an EMP device.
Cyber Controllers - you can see their brains through the helmet.
Might not be very interesting to some, I know :rotfl: But your little Dr Who fan might have an appreciation for different versions. Also look out for a Cyber Controller with white eyes @ HB ... Quite hard to come by as they were supposed to have blue eyes. Might become rare and maybe valuable in the future :question:0 -

I picked up an even cheaper car booster seat today in Huddersfield - £2.99 for the most basic one for age 4- 11. It will do for picking up a friend's little boy occasionally. The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0

Just popped into "Home bargains" and picked up a mini adhesive LED torch for 39p, they're flat and about 2 inches long and the idea is if you want to , to stick it to the back of your mobile phone.
They are made by wynn's and come complete with batteries , the rrp is £3.99.
I was that chuffed I went and got three more for f&f.
I don't know how far afield "home bargains" are but there are plenty around here (Manchester).
So grab yourself a bargain!!:beer:0 -
