Had a lovely expedition to the main HomeBargains by CarCraft on the East Lancs Road, well worth a visit if you live in the North West as out of all those I have visited this has by far the best offers (presumably cos their Head Office is based there.)
Anyway
they had loads of Leapsters for £39.99
A5 Quiz books on different subjects -would suit young teens RRP £3.99 for £0.39
Llind small dark chocolate boxes £0.39
Fuzzyfelts £2.99
Tesco A5 notebook with flourescent cover £0.17
Fireman Sam hoopla £2.99
Loads of cheap Cadburys chocolate - 4 for £1.00
Loads of Pirates of the Caribbean stuff.
Fabulous Megabloks wooden farm set with wooden animals RRP £29.99 for £9.99. This would be a great present for young child, looked really expensive looking. In a good carry case as well.

Well, I have been staying out of Home Bargains and consequently saving lots of money. Still, as Christmas approaches it's time to fill the wardrobe with bargain toys if I want to avoid last-minute panic and buying their presents at the all-night garage on Christmas Eve. Here's what they had in my local Quality Save yesterday:
Disney fairy toys - either a set of two small ones, or one large one eg Tinkerbell - £4 (rrp about £15?)
Nice large Winx dolls, about £6
Lots of 99p action figures - LOTR, Japanese cartoon characters, Narnia.
Very nice 'Curious George' toys - George plus car, plane etc. about £1.50?
Lots of X men figures - about £1.99/£2.99
Tomy flowers that light up and move to music £1.50 (look nice quality, not usual junk)
Some nice 99p 'crates' with a Marvel figure to make inside. Nice stocking fillers.
Large wooden dolls house £20 - they often stock these -we got one a few years ago and ours have played with it a lot. It's the 'frame' type, open-sided, not one that looks like a Georgian house, but still great value.
Also just in, small blankets (in a roll) with characters like Bart, Fifi, Spiderman, and Cars on - lots of others but can't remember who, £3.99. We got some last year, great for pushchairs or the car, very soft and wash well.0
