I keep seeing this thread finally clicked into it today and read a little then remembered my mum gave me an old nano years ago which was engraved with her name on so put me off using it, anyway just signed into apple to find that it can be replaced so now waiting to receive the box through the post to send my one back to them woohoo

For those who have contacted apple what email/phone number did you use? I requested a replacement in December and my prepaid envelope arrived but I have managed to loose it during a house move. When I put the serial number in online now it just says that I have already requested a replacement and I can't see a way to get another envelope sent to me. Anyone in the same boat?

Claire, I called 08442090611. Went through the inputting of numbers etc then auto message told me I had to purchase a £25 service thingy to speak to an advisor. I took option 'to find out more' and got a human being. First time I phoned I was told load of rubbish but second time the advisor put me through to another person who was extremely helpful. HTH

Finally 3 on way to us - missed delivery today but fingers x get them tomorrow.

You should have got an email that will have the serial number as well as your ID Repair number

Received my second one back this morning, although no email like with the first to say it was dispatched and the status hasn't updated on the apple site either. Again, it's a 8gb 6th gen ipod.
