Free new ipod nano - If you have a 1st Gen Nano!

I'm not sure if I ever recieved an email confirming that they've recieved my iPod aghhhh ! I've checked the service section on apple website with the Id code etc & it says replacement pending but nothing about it being recieved etc & date is 17th nov ?! Is this what it should say or might mine have not been recieved ?! If so how do I check ?!?! Help !!!

I didn't get an email. My status said replacement pending for ages but I got a despatch email today. Hth

An update: just got a dispatch email and on checking the serial number its a 6th gen. It looks as if it has 1 year's warranty so hopefully its a new one. I cant see it on UPS when I use the tracking number yet though. Mine was service requested 17th Nov and all other dates were 14th Dec.

Mine is on the way!! Showing up as due for delivery Monday. Not a bad deal 2GB Nano 1st generation for 8GB Nano 6th Generation!

Just to update, I got my brand new 6th gen ipod through on Friday, dispatch email sent Thursday.
One very happy 11 year old (I already have a 6th gen so I've let my eldest have it)

Does your tracking link work then? Mine links to UPS USA and cant find reference. When did you get dispatch email?

The care booklet they send out with the nano states the warranty is for 90 days from the date you receive it.

Just had emails to say 2 out of 4 of our replacements are on their way to us - 6th Gen nanos, woo hoo!

Returned 4 but Apple only received 3 back. Fingers X third one gets shipped tomorrow; as for mine that got lost on route to Apple, I await the outcome of Apple claiming off the delivery service but fingers x that all gets sorted & replacement sent too.

Small steps, but at least in right direction and dh & dd1 very happy.

I am more than happy with the replacement.

I sent in a refurbed 1gb nano that was in my 3 year olds toybox as it was broken and wouldn't even charge. :j

Absolutely agree - only 1 out of 4 of ours had literally just stopped working (stumbled across replacement issue when searching for best prices for a new one for dh). Would have been happy with 'safe' replacement but to be getting 6th gen is great! Just eager to get replacement like everyone else:D
