Free new ipod nano - If you have a 1st Gen Nano!

Any ideas as to how i check what version they are sending me? I have just received a despatch email but i cant track it on UPS.
Some have mentioned checking by serial number as to what they are sending you?

thanks 6th gen for me!! Very happy with that as my 1st gen had no battery life whatsoever! Will look forward to downloading all my music on to it x

6th Gen for me to Just received the email.

Just spoke to Apple, was told due to volume/xmas etc that lots haven't been scanned in as received yet and to wait a month!

Also was told as long as have proof of posting that apple would be at fault if it's gone missing so will end up with a replacement eventually!

Hope this puts some minds at rest x

Are people who traded in 1gb and 2gb getting the same as the people who sent back a 4gb?

Is it just a 8gb 6th Gen for everyone?

I sent a 2gb one which I have received a replacement for this morning and it's an 8gb 6th gen one. At the same time I also sent an 4gb one in but this one is still showing as 9 December 2011: Product replacement pending so i'll have to wait and see if it's just an 8gb for both.

I returned 2 x 2gb nanos and have just received 2 x silver 8gb 6th gen nanos. One was received by Apple on 24 Nov and the other on 9 Dec but I got despatch emails for them both on Saturday/Sunday and they've just been delivered now - excellent customer service from Apple, especially as 1 was originally purchased as a refurb and the other had stopped working.

okay this might sound stupid but how do i know if i have a 1st gen ipod? I have an ipod nano that i bought years ago (2007?) is this a first gen one? Thanks
